Howdy y'all, from southern California

While I've not been particularly enamored by "teardrop" campers per se ... my wife and I are looking for real alternatives to tent camping on lumpy, uneven surfaces. Over the last several weeks I have really enjoyed driving through a number of very high quality build threads. Within these next couple of months we are planning on building a first try camping trailer. I expect that I'll create a number of posts and start several threads that address design and construction topics. Thanks ... in advice ... for your constructive responses.

Spent my most formative years (jr high & high school) in Santa Barbara. We currently live about 30 miles south of that.

Welcome to the madness. Hey, you might want to check craigs list. The are are quite a few teardrops on there all around you. I am about 80% complete with mine and wish I had looked harder and waited for some deals. It's fun to build, but I want it done NOW!

I particularly like this one, good price too! If I had seen this before I started....
