I think the old adage... "if there are no photos, it didn't really happen" applies. Where are the photos... hmmm?

Well, the "Patrol Box" made it to and from its first gathering. Although only about 50-60% done, it was campable and we didn't get wet.
We had a great time! Thanks to Kurt, Dan and all the other organizers for a fantastic gathering.

Wow...what a week. I think our final count was 135 trailers. I tried to count heads at dinner but it was hard as evident with the pic below. I kept losing track somewhere around 300. Raised money for St Jude's Children's Hospital, great food at the pitch-in as usual, great breakfast ( thanks Karl, and all who helped), the weather was unbelievable, almost fall-like, met alot of new faces, I think Grant took the long drive award somewhere North of 3100 miles. Rob and his CabinCar was best home built, imagine that. Mark Eaton had a truly unbelievable new camper there...truly deserved the best manufactured teardrop. You have see it in person to witness expert craftsmanship. And Kurt and Todd put on anther fantastic event...kudos friends! Your dedication to this pastime of ours is unwavering and wonderful. Teardroppers are truly the best people! Thanks to all that attended!

Don't feel bad, Bob Henry. I was also so busy looking at everything and talking to everyone that I didn't take pictures either. Of course I regret it now!! It's up to my memory and this point, and that's not so good anymore. But an event like this one will be pretty hard to forget.

This event was outstanding and we had a wonderful time. Thank you to Kurt and everyone else who worked so hard and made this such a success. We are already looking forward to the next one. (We won't leave a day early next time. Regret that too.) Meeting everyone was the highlight of the trip and seeing all the beautiful and creative trailers was the icing on the cake. I really want to thank everyone who took the time to come by and visit and take a look at the Sagwagon. All your nice comments (and suggestions) are very much appreciated.

Our first long trip was a great success over all. We spent 9 nights in the teardrop. We really enjoyed it and were more than comfortable. Now all we want to do it GO..GO..GO!!
Life is sooooo good.........

OK, I didn't take too many pictures, but here's mine:

I stayed in Site 54 for Sunday and Monday because someone had reserved my Site 5 for those two days, but they didn't show up--probably had something to do with all of the rain and thunderstorms. I moved to Site 5 on Tuesday, just in time for another thunderstorm. I will tell you the Paha Que Cottonwood Canopy was wonderful in the rain.

I was very pleased that the bike rode well on the rear of the Silver Shadow. There was no "whip lashing" movement, just a bit of back and forth movement, I think. Indycamper followed me to Greenwood on the way home and she said it didn't move. Now I can take the bike with me on my camping trips.

Poor little Sunny Day walked and walked with me, and became very much a Mommy's baby, wanting to be carried. She loved being in the milk carton on the rear of the bike.

We had fun, laughed a lot, talked a lot, visited a lot, rode a horse (first time in probably 50 years), paddled a canoe for about 7 miles (never done that before), ate well, wine tasting (love that!!) and I even grilled all nights and some mornings (except for Friday and Saturday) for Sharon, Bonnie and Sherri. Love that Coleman grill/stove!

Is it 2015 yet????

5 canoes and 9 people canoed down the West Fork of the White River on Friday. Great Fun!!!! We had so much fun. We stopped, I think, 3 times on sand banks, rested, snacked, talked and laughed so much!! And, again, thank you very much to Frank for being our unofficial guide. He is so much at home on the water in a canoe. He had so many tips for me...I hope I remember them for the next time.

And, Moe was a great lead horse...except when Hank, Indycamper's horse, decided to put his nose a bit too close to Moe's rear end  It was fun. Wonderful scenery, good trails, great guide, great fun. I now know the true meaning of "saddle sore".... :frightened:

As Verna said - we had a GREAT time!  As we were saying our good-byes we realized that several of us would not be able to make the Fall Gathering here in Indiana. After the great times at CRA, the thought of not seeing everyone until NEXT SPRING was just too much!   So - there will be an unofficial gathering (maybe we should call it a "getting together"?) the last weekend of September, at Lincoln State Park. Everyone is welcome.
