GPW,
Please tell me more about this chipboard you're using ?
Exactly what is it, and where did you get it ?
TIA,
tac

Tac , I got it at the Art supply store ... a thin solid cardboard (not corrugated) about 10 X as thick as Kraft paper ... same color , lots stiffer ... About $1.50 / sheet... much like the back cardboard of a writing tablet (probably the same stuff)... Glues well , east to work , and we’ll be priming it and painting over it later ... the inner skin .... just think of it as a wood product , treat it like wood ... made of essentially the same stuff (cellulose) ... With a generous and thorough coat of TB2 on the back and gripper and paint on the front , we expect it to be around a long time ... Plywood , even the thinnest , would be too Heavy and expensive , and difficult to work with ... canvas or a fabric would have showed the kerfing underneath ... this stuff worked out perfect ... and Thrifty too ...

Oops !!! went to add the threshold and found out we didn’t have enough “hold" for the thresh ... :o Had to add another piece of wood so it would all work , and being a Step, we glued it with Liquid nails , and screwed in two giant lag bolts ... then grippered' it ... Now it all fits ... thankfully !!!

Used the last of the tube of 3M 5200 to seal the threshold ... The one tube went pretty far ... 3 windows and a threshold... still have a whole unopened tube left ... :o Not going to post a pic of the threshold , everybody knows what that looks like ... :D

No worries eh ... we’ve been taking long naps during the hottest part of the day ... ;) Plus , now with the bulk of the construction work done , we can kinda’ take it easy a bit ... Today is clean up day where we put all the unnecessary tools away and get ready for the Band tonight ... :dancing

Really huh ??? We’ll at least get the “shakedown cruise “ out to the State Police Station for the numbers ... 50 mile trip there and back again ... All Interstate Hwy. so it will sorta’ be like taking a trip ... :D Now we could bring along a BBQ and roast some burgers and suck down a couple cold ones in their parking lot (simulated camping), but er, I don’t think they’d much appreciate that eh ??? :Flippin Burger:   ...
Note: I will be going faster than 4.75mph ...

For those that would like to do a little Lettering on their trailer .... this is what it looks like after you pounce the stencil with the chalk bag .... then it’s just fill in the dots ...

While we had the Black paint out ... decided to black out the cross member ends (too distracting ), yet still a good place to hang a “skirt” or reflectors, etc.

Painted the back of the trailer too ...looked better than the Green (opinion) ...
