Geep,

Everyone on wants a Fan-Tastic vent fan in the TnTTT, right? Well, I've heard good things about their 12" portable 12v fan also.

Take a look at this Camping World link, http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/it ... -fan/38132 especially the user comments. Lots of air movement and very little amperage draw. I think it is a deal for the price and plan on getting one myself before camping again. I'm sure it can be had cheaper (thriftier?) through Amazon.com

Up to 900cfm air movement. By my calculations, based on truss sizes of 7' tall, 6' wide, 13' long, you have 600.5 cubic feet inside volume. That means it could move all that air in the trailer every 40 seconds.

I have two 10" fans that run on 8 D cells or a wall adapter, got them at Lowe's, they work great and run forever on the D cells, they are made by http://www.o2-cool.com/ the fan blades have a very different design that moves a lot of air without the normal fan shape to them.
I also have a 5" fan from them that plugs into the USB port on a computer, it works well too.

WOW!!! lots of good fan information !!! Many THANKS!!! :D I’ll be sure to check them all out ... you know who wants it ...
Fern' , Thanks , I should have guessed an office supply ... :duh:

Now here’s an interesting shopping note .... looking for the thick chipboard , the local Art store called me back and said they had it , and wanted $11.95 USD/sheet + the 9% sales tax... and I’d have to make a 40 mile trip to go get it ... (2 gal. gas @ 3.59/gal ) ... And I need 5 sheets :frightened:

So we went to the online art dealer Utrecht , and found the same thing for $7.19 USD a sheet , and i used a 15% off coupon ... with the 10bucks for shipping , the whole bill was ~ 40 bucks ... delivered to the door ... BUT (it’a always something eh? ) the board was backordered till early next month ... but I went Thrifty and made the order... saving a few bucks and having to wait a little longer to "get it Done" ...

*** meanwhile , back on the farm .... tomorrow is official finish up the caulking day , and more AC “testing” .... 8)

12v Fans. Look into becoming a trucker. Should be able to find on in a truck wrecking yard. Oops, Dismantler. Many trucks have them aimed at the windshield and are pretty heavy duty

Randy , good idea .... I’m actually old enough to remember fans in trucks and cars ...
Funny story ... I remember one night the wife and I were driving up to Atlanta , stopped at a truck stop for a “rest" and some gas ... The wife went in to get a couple sandwiches and some coffee... The waitress says to the wife ... “ you a Trucker mam’ ? “ The wife says “ Heck Yeah !!!” , so they filled up our big ole’ thermos with coffee for Free... Wife wasn’t fibbing , we were driving a pickup truck ... Sometimes it pays to just go along with the program ...

I have several little battery operated O2 Cool fans. These are 5" fans with the option of using an AC adapter... not included, of course. These things were inexpensive & looked like they wouldn't last long but worked surprisingly well & have taken a good deal of abuse getting banged around in all my gear for a the last couple years. We actually bought them for a 4th of July camping trip, one fan for each dog I brought along. Combined with the screenhouse plus boat carpet it made a nice setup. (Why idiots like us go camping in July in Georgia is a whole other subject.)

The ”Dog Days of Summer” ...

We just got a little O2 Cool fan to try out , but the only D cells I had were .. long depleted :( ... Rigging up a pair of Eneloop 2000mah in D adapters to see how that works ... OK, that works , but alas , mine has no AC adapter jack ... but that’s simple to add... Kinda’ wimpy for my taste , but you know who likes it ...

I do rather like the idea of a vintage truck fan , a fan that’s been places and knows how to act COOL !!!

Oh, and BTW.... Got all the caulking done and read on the tube wait two hours before painting .... That works for me ... The paint crew is coming over this afternoon to finish the trim on the house , and I’m going to have them paint the inside of the FS too... and maybe even paint the black nasty stuff on the bottom  ... Like the wife says ... “You’re tired... time to delegate! “ ... That works for me 8) ... Then all I have to do is install the mud flaps , wire up the lights , stick on some reflectors and take it to the State Police ... Still we’re waiting to finish off the nose interior ... The heavy chipboard coming next month and the top to be burlap covered ... A “work in progress” ... with a license plate , and usable soon (if needed ) , no matter the inside ... ;)

Just taking a leaf from Eagle’s book ... :D

GPW, about that chipboard. Went to look at the Utrecth site & can't figure out how to compare theirs to other places. What is the difference between the board you ordered from Utrecth & this from Dick Blick? http://www.dickblick.com/items/13115-2236/ Dick Blick seems cheaper than what you ordered so I'm just wondering how to do an apples to apples comparison.

Whoa!! That looks like an even Better price ... 8) As far as I can tell, they both look similar ... :D Likely it’s all made in one factory and sold by many “distributors “ , and at wildly varying prices. ...
