That thing is amazing! He spent some time on that. Sheet metal workers don't get a lot of sheet metal work on the 135's, mostly composites, so they have to hone their skills somehow.

And thanks for the offer but I'm not going with the trolley top, if I don't stop trying to add more to it I'll never be done with this trailer. Working nights is killing my progress, shift change coming soon.

That threw me for a minute. I couldn't figure out why you would put a window in the floor!!

I did put a few doors on the floor because mine frame has a bottom skin, more storage.

Ive shot on the last panel on the bottom and sealed it all on the inside. Hopefully I will get some more metal to bend up and shoot on the tongue this weekend. Thats the last thing to do to the frame and then I will get to put the floor down and make some more sawdust.
Ive also been doing some research on batteries that can fit inside my frame, just above the axles. There is only 4" of clearance so I have to get smaller batteries and chain them together. So, will it be worth it to get the smaller batteries that will be out of site or just get a bigger 35 amp and squeeze it in somewhere else? Battery power will just be for lights and maybe a stereo so not too much power is needed.

I'm sure there are UPS or emergency light batteries that would fit. Some could lay on their side.

Very interesting build. If I may ask where did you source your channel for the frame? Did you bend it up yourself from sheet or have it bent for you?

I am going to build an ultra light toy hauler and am looking for an aluminum frame to build on. I may have to build what I want since costs of full aluminum framed trailers are quite expensive.

The channel I bent myself from sheet, I am a sheet metal worker so I have access to a few brakes. You can buy a 4' brake at harbor freight or build one using thick angle iron.

Yes, there are a few choices of batteries that will fit, just trying to balance the price of a few and the hassle of chaining them vs. the cost and easy install of one bigger battery.

I got so much done this weekend, and Im making good progress. Got the inner skins on the walls glued on

And I have the A frame for the tongue shot on, just need a few more fasteners.

No solid rivets on the tongue, Jo bolts going into the square tubing and Hi loks shot in high stress areas.
Walls are going up once I get some paint for the floor, even though the frame is sealed I want to put something on the bare wood for protection, no pun intended there.

I bought some primer/sealer for the floor yesterday and put a coat on the underside on the floor. Then I saw that this stuff will work on metal also, so it will be used for the inside of the frame.

Thanks Kc, here are a couple of teasers for yall, I'll get better pics of the profile tomorrow when I push it out of the garage to clean up this mess.

I got the torsion walls up and started framing out the cabinets, but got short on time cause the wife and I have a date night That hasnt happened in over a year now.

When I tried to put the tear on my homemade dolly, the plastic casters broke. Guessing Im up to about 200 lbs. I also just scored some big pieces of 1/8" mdf, not sure what to do with them yet.

Just made another dolly with 2x6's and HEAVY DUTY casters. Moves with ease meow. And on the dolly it sits about the final height Im going for, and it can also support me on the trailer, although I should have put a brake on it before I tried to stand on it, Oops.
