Roughed in the "cellar" or Han Solo smuggling compartment I told the kids that and they called me a geek...little ingrates

Sweet! I put one of those in my build too!

That is shaping up into a nice looking gypsie. I have always liked the step in the gypsie walls.

Thanks for the hook up on the foam and the meet up invite! It rode pretty well, lost a couple corners off the top 2 sheets somewhere. Sorry about the lawn, I got home with a good bit of it in my trailer tongue

No problem. and Meh its just grass. I was surprised to see you take the ditch instead of the driveway and thought for sure you were stuck but ya pulled right up and out of there. I've always wanted one of those Vardo's. Yours has a good looking shape.

Tuesday was the last day off before a couple double shifts so I started early. Had to enlist pop..the roof was def a two man job when it got to the going up with it stage.
Image
That simple looking 1 foot curve was a serious pain going over rafters.
Image
But we are under roof now. I have the green metal roof on but forgot to get a pic... I'll add one as I trim the curves in the metal its self. I wanted the rafters exposed so the Insulation is sandwiched between 1x's on top of the 1/4 inch.

Still had a little ooomph left so on to insulation.

and of course right in the way :)

Image
I knocking out the wiring and interior walls as I go. When I get the enterior "skinned out" I think I will just hit it with a high gloss poly. Rustic look but look very finished.

That was some progression! Still waiting to see the "redneck" part come in. To some, building a trailer for yourself is redneck.

LOL.. Been on ice for a few months, sometimes litterally  .. the girl is wintering over in the barn while I collect the funds for the next stages. I like the pallet wood look but am going to scrap it and take the one wall off... That crap weighs a ton!!! Changeing interior plans a little to cut weight way down..She was getting heavy!!! I'm going to try to pick up wall panels Saturday.

Well warm weather worked out with a day off so it's time to open up the barn dors and wake the girl up. My daughters are pushing and have several destinations in mind for this summer and fall so we are making sawdust again.

I got some framing out and the door completed. The window and screen are sitting on the radial arm saw in the basement waiting for a rainy day or free evening to put them together. I'll have to remove the latern hook and cast door bell to paint but the kids wanted to see what it would look like.

The paint is really making the untrimed roof corners jump out... Gotta get on that it's bugging the crap out of me lol. We chose a celtic theme.. 2 shades of green with a yellow accent. The ledge and braces, door trim, and graphics will be yellow. Still have to get the lights figured and bumper cut and on too.

Really made good time over 2 days until my help sabotaged me. She helped with the painting and did most the trim so I can bring it in the house and paint the knot work on it before she decided enough was enough, we needed to call it a day and get milkshakes
