New in CO - need clever parking ideas

Postby alexco » Tue Aug 20, 2013 8:24 pm

Hi:

I'm new to this forum - have been looking at teardrops for a month or so. I'm almost ready to pull the trigger.

But....

I live in an apartment and have no driveway or garage to park a trailer in. Does anyone have clever ideas for where to store a teardrop in this sort of situation? Should I park it on the office? Knock on neighbor's doors and ask to rent a corner of their driveway? What have you tried?

Thanks!

Hi Alex Welcome to the forum. one thing I heard was to rent space at a storage facility. There have been some who built theres in one of those inclosed units. and then got space outside in the. if you stay on here long enough and make some camp outs, someone like me (not me I live in GA) would let you store on their property for a little storage fee. any way Welcome!!!

Welcome to the forum! One thing you will want to do while storing your new trailer is to make sure it is secure. There have been a couple that have walked off over the years, and it is convenient to leave camping gear inside rand ready to go!

My parents had a crank up hard side trailer stolen from their condo storage lot. Dad had put a padlock on the hitch...which only took a second to cut :(

If I had to leave a trailer like that I'd get some sort of wheel lock and hitch lock too.

To me, even more security would be to have the tongue removable. there's a current thread about telescoping trailer hitches that would give you ideas.

Ohhh...and have enough insurance to cover your loss.
