Could you go day camping at a local campground?. Put out a for sale sign and start giving tours. You might find a buyer. Especially one who's currently in a tent.

If nothing else, you'd get a feel for what people think it's worth.

My 6 X 12 converted "apartment on wheels" has been on Craigslist for two weeks now and I have not had a single call. Maybe I'm asking too much, maybe the idea of "apartment for one" (would need adjustments to fit two) makes people not interested.

If I lived close by, I would call you on it, even if only to talk to a fellow forum member. BTW, I used to leave up the road from you in the 60's, Drexel Hill. I have been a regular researcher on CL for my area and have no one post something like you have.

I went up and found your craigslist listing. Nice job on your interior. You might want to double check your listing though. The ad title says 6x12 and the body says 6x10. That might be creating some confusion by readers.

Hey Guys, it's nice to get mentioned in these posts.
I've had the Adventure Trailer for sale on the Minneapolis area Craigslist for a couple of months and have only gotten a couple of calls. One caller wanted to fit a Polaris Ranger inside. Believe it or not, it fit on the width and length but the roll bar on the Ranger was to tall.
I'm hoping it will sell this fall to someone going deer hunting.

drcurran, Howdy;

Perhaps it in the phrasing. You call it an apartment for 1
Why not reach out to the paranoia that most folks have and
refer to it as a "Bug-Out" trailer, 'Escape Pod', 'Mobile Hunting/
Fishing Cabin' things along those lines. Apartment sounds like
a permanent residence. Just sayin' .......

I agree. I bought a set of good pipes for my bike from there. I just happen to bump into them thru various search phrasing. He had come down on his price because they weren't selling. No reason other than he only had the model of bike they came off of (Street Glide). He did not have the brand (Harley Davidson). They would have sold fast if he had posted them as for a Harley Davidson Street Glide or Touring Model.

Hope it sells for you. Hunters would like something like that.

There are lots of idiots, bums, flakes & looses on Craigslist .....
After all it's FREE !!! What do you expect ?
At least folks who wanna buy a trailer go to RV mag or RV site etc
eBay maybe Amazon ?

Think about it for one split second ? Who is gonna go on Craig's list & search for a fantastic home built quality trailer like yours !!
Answer is pretty much nobody !!

There is really no market for home built cargo trailers we built here !!

If you took your trailer to Quartside or Burn Man ....or some RV events like the show in PA
It would sell like a hot cake .....FLY OFF THE SHELF ......

When I tell people about my trailer they are CLUELESS .... They Can't figure out sh** !!
They ask why don't I just buy a shitty trailer ... Like all the others ?
Even most here can't figure out what I'm doing ....BUT

When they see it ... Then their EYES BUG OUT !!
ONLY THEN DO THEY GET IT

:D   :R 8)

Good luck with Craigslist

Wow, I think I've just seen the light...maybe Craigslist isn't the best place to sell a quality home built trailer.
But, I have had great luck with Craigslist for selling other campers and a couple motorcycles. So I do know the ads work.

I have not listed my Adventure Trailer for sale anywhere else. Not even in the for sale section here on this site. If anyone is looking for a high quality home-built trailer like ours, they have been on this site.

I'm going to list it for sale here.

Wel I stand corrected, I tried to google and find converted, home built, custom cargo / camping trailers for sale
All over the place for the last hour.

RESULTS =ZERO

CONCLUSION : I'm a crappie GOOGLER. :? :?

Therefore any of the above should sell like hot cakes , if properly posted on the Internet
