Today I finished the epoxy on the exterior. Did 3 coats of West 105/207. Now the roof and front has 8 coats and the sides have 5 coats. I'll let this cure for a week then do my varnish. Hopefully I'll have this done in time to do some camping this fall.

I do like how the epoxy looks like glass. You can see your reflection in it.

Well it took a little longer to finish than I expected, but we're campable! Got it all epoxied and varnished. Got the windows and fantastic fan installed. My wife even made some curtains for us. So now we have 1 weekend left at a close campground just to get it broken in. We'll see if I can convince the wife to test the limits. Should get below 40 at night consistently this week.

Some pics of the finished product.

Still need to get a mattress situation figured out, and the table finished and installed on the inside. And it looks like the inside could use a dusting.

Very nice job, pretty teardrop. I'm sure you and your wife are going to love it.

I'm glad you got it done in time to give it a test run this season. That will give you a lot of ideas for gear and any changes you might want to make over the winter so you will really be ready to go when the season begins next year. We just spent our first season using our teardrop, we finished it in May this year. It seems like every time we went out we came back and either added something or changed something, and the process continues. We had our last campout for the year this weekend. I was having the end of season blues tonight so I decided to work on my "wish list" for next year. It has 20 items on it. Yep.....20.

Have fun!!
Life is sooooo good.........
