Those cushions are way cool! And you are so right, so many ways to arrange them.

We woke up today to 68 temp. I can't wait til its like that all the time. I just wished we could go months on end with 60's.

Eagle , after much looking around and head scratching , these turned out to be the Thrifty things we were looking for ... The wife’s idea of two twin mattresses and toppers , fitted sheets , etc. would have cost 4 times as much and not be as versatile ,much harder to set up and use ... These , being outside cushions , should be pretty durable , and stain resistant ... and they’re pretty comfortable ... passing the wife’s lie down on it test ...
We have them in the house now , while awaiting a rug for the FS (still looking) .... we’ve been arranging/stacking them in all sorts of ways ... Fun !!! :D

It’s 83F this morning here , be a while before we hit 60’s ... Off to the store today for more undercoating ...just a little left to spray on ... MUCH easier than brushing on ...Then it’s wire up the lights and we’re ready for the legal bits and the shakedown cruise to the State Police office ... ~ 50 miles there and back again .. That trip should prove whether it works or not ...

Speaking of head scratching .... we’re still puzzled as to how to finish the inside lower nose ... We cancelled that chipboard order after they extended the delivery time to the end of this month , but now that might have been premature... Looked at some other alternatives ... Carpet scraps , would look nice but add no strength , and be hard to clean later ... Masonite in 1/8” sheets would be nice but Too Heavy @ almost 19# a sheet ... paneling only slightly lighter and harder to bend to the 36” radius ... Corroplast (plastic corrugated cardboard ) would be light , but gets brittle after a couple years .. (self destructing) ...
So as it ends up , I may just have to re-order the chipboard as being the Best of the choices... :duh:

GPW, do you think this stuff would bend well enough to work?
http://www.homedepot.com/p/Thrifty-Whit ... RRWidgetID

If so, you could then get a couple packs of dry erase markers & stave off a little bug out boredom by drawing on the walls. 8)

Actually, right now this is the top contender for the inner skin of my karavan.

Edit: Oops, I see I'm too late. Well, hope the chipboard makes it to you in short order. It's what you wanted to begin with.

K, I believe that’s the same stuff we used on the inside of my wooden TD (ceiling) ... But it got wet and the white stained ... :o It was pretty heavy too ... You can see it in the front of this pic , held with screws and finishing washers ... 8645

Gosh , that first wooden one was a HEAVY beastie’ ... :frightened: ...probably twice as heavy as the FS , and smaller too ...

It’s the little things that add the extra weight ... ten little things make one big thing ... the big stuff is already accountable ... FS still , like myself , on a Diet !!! ;)

K, you know that’s right huh :o Even stranger the 1/8” plain Masonite is $2 more per panel ... Less Thrifty !!!

Great Luck !!! The wife called on her way home from “shopping” , and actually volunteered to stop by the Auto parts store and pick up a couple more cans of undercoating ... Soon as she got home , I crawled under the trailer (luckily it didn’t rain today ) , and finished ALL the undercoating , every nook and cranny (and then some) !!! :dancing Glad to get that done , a Nasty job , and another step finally completed ... Next up , the wiring of the trailer lights ... something to do tomorrow ... :D

Odd !!! seems I’m running out of things to do on the FoamStream :o ... may have to start thinking about that Next foamie’ .... “ the Rolling Sports Bar” ... Bean bag chairs , sports and beer posters on the wall, Christmas lights, 4 (Four) big coolers , a Big Flat screen TV (satellite of course) with surround sound , and a large bag of potato chips (crisps for those abroad)

Ps. and a small toaster oven for making frozen Pizza ;)

OK , the wife read my previous post ^ ... :o So the rolling Sports bar might be out of the question !!! She thinks I’m Crazy !!! Then she mentioned , when she retires , she could run the Trailer making business , while I make the trailers ... Now I think she’s Crazy too ... :R Maybe Crazy is contagious ? :frightened:

On to the wiring ... We were wondering if running the trailer light wires through the FS body (inside) would offer any advantages to the wiring longevity ... But running the wires outside (like every other trailer in the world ) would be easier ...
We’re running a separate Ground wire to each light , and to the trailer chassis ... just a little extra insurance we don’t have any grounding problems in the future ... just one more wire ... and we can always pick up a ground off the trailer frame if we need it ...
Ps. each connection will be soldered (not crimped) and then shrink wrapped ... more security in our infamous Humidity ...

Now here’s a Thrifty trick ... in the past when we bundled wires , we used common black plastic “electrical” tape ... which did a good job of isolating and wrapping the wires , but soon started to come unwrapped at the ends ... :o Now , we use a couple wraps of Masking tape (paper) over the ends of the electrical tape wrapping ... and that does a good job of keeping the wrapping intact ... As we know , after leaving masking tape on for a few days , it becomes permanent ... very difficult to remove .... working perfectly for this job ... a “keeper” tape of sorts ... Hey , it Works !!! ;)

Got the wiring all done ... not hard at all to do .... went on the outside like everybody else... Went to test it out and the 7 pin adapter from Harbor Freight didn’t fit ... it was too fat .. :o  ... isn’t that a pickle ? ... :R The original receptacle was installed by the RV dealer , and I wouldn’t put it past him to use something that didn’t fit anything else ... and only he could supply the parts , he was a shifty B*****D ... HUSKY Towing products ... :NC

Well now , after much searching, it turns out the adaptors from Husky are the only ones that will fit , and I have to get that from an “RV” dealer and at 2-3 times the price ... I hate those guys !!! What an EVIL Capitalist empire they are .... grrrrrrrr!!!!!!  :frightened: RV stands for Rascally Vermin ... $>

Might be better in the long run to just undo all that 7 pin foolishness and just install the standard flat pin instead ... Last time I did that (some time ago ), I think we connected everything up to the taillights.. not sure anymore ... more searching ... :NC

Just get a Hoppy kit from Wal-Mart. They have one that has both the 7 pin and 4 pin in the same unit. Saves the trouble of having to remember where you put that darned adapter. Depending on the TV, they may even have one that is plug and play.

I had this kit on my Silverado. My truck didn't have the factory 7 pin plug, so I cut off the vehicle end plug and wired it in old school to the pigtail taped to the frame.
