I got most of the rear galley done, still need to touch up the stain in some areas and paint some more.

Making the cabinet doors right now, my first time.
I'm going to make some aluminum panels for the doors. I think it will look good...

I thought I liked that stain, but the more I look at it now it isnt going to fit my colors.

I had the hardest time fussing with colors until I got the one that was what I had wanted all along.

Don't settle until you are truly happy with the colors. It is one of the biggest mood impacting things that you can do to set the theme for your project. It is worth the effort to get to that happy place.

I got my cabinet doors made up, complete with some sheet metal deco art patterns.
I may have waited until I stain the wood, but I couldn't resist.

Thanks yall. I really dont like the stain on the inside face frame, so I will be redoing it. Its better to take one small step back now than many steps back later.

Looking nice Randy. You’ll be camping in that thing next year for sure. Do you have a guess on the total weight on the frame before adding any of the wood?

Before wood Im guessing 60-80, I could lift it by myself but was akward. Thats with the bottom skin most steel trailers dont have.

I took the inside cabinets down this week between work and sleep, not much personal time. So this weekend the garage is getting transformed into a cabinet shop. I bought some new router bits and plan on using the hell out of them. One of my friends is cabinet guru, so plenty of help there.
The wife and I also got our colors picked out for the interior and the galley, Im just glad we could agree on it.
Also, I have been looking for wire to run to my lights. Since I plan to have all 12v leds, not much draw there, I want 16awg. I found 250' for $40 on amazon, it is speaker wire but all in the same.

If you have access to a wire label maker (Brady or similar) you can mark your wires and not have to worry about them all being the same color. Or you can get colored electrical tape and wrap both ends of each circuit so that you know what's what. It can get quite spendy buying smaller lots in multiple colors. I was able to scrounge a bunch of different colored wire from previous projects, but the few rolls of 16 ga that I did have to buy weren't near as good a deal as that ($10 each color for 30 ft).

My wife went through a phase of labeling everything in the house, great idea! I havent even thought of how to separate all the wires from each other.

In case yall missed my thread on acrylic edge lit leds, Im planning on a larger sunroof with some leds around the edge of it with a frame routed into the acrylic. When the leds are on it will shine off the routed frame, when off we can gaze at the stars. So I got a 30" x 36" piece of 3/8" acrylic and started framing my roof. Since I need a lip for the glass to sit into, Im trying a 2x4, seems a little too big, I may go with 2x2s. More pics coming this weekend.
