RCA --at Walmart it is $40. I have one on an extendable paint pole for the Silver Shadow. I get 37 channels just in my garage, 4 channels two weeks ago out in the middle of nowhere in east central Ohio. Tapatalk won't let me upload a photo. The antenna is gray and sort of looks like a shark's fin, and it says "RCA" on it. I know of two other teardrop owners who are using it and they're happy with it.

Although where I live, cable is required to get any TV reception, we are in some sort of pocket or rip in the time/space continuum where we get about 65 channels with a roof mounted antenna. Granted, at least half are foreign language, half a dozen are religious, a bunch are kiddie shows and a few are just crap, but we still get about 15-18 decent stations. We did sign up for Netflix last week. At 7 bucks a month, it is just about worth it. We play it through our Wii console. I have queued up about 75 movies and TV shows, out of the thousands that they offer. The selection really stinks. Every good movie, ever made, is DVD only and requires another 7 bucks a month. I know they are contractually bound by the studios and their hands are tied, but some of it is nonsense. For example, "It's a Wonderful Life" is in the public domain, but Netflix doesn't stream it. I figure I'll use them up in 6 months, or so, then I'll cancel.

Any of you long-time Roku users ever try using some type of T-connection or a splitter so that two TVs can be connected to one unit? If so, how and did it work.

Sorry Todah, I didn't spot this when you first asked.
I've used HDMI splitters several times with great success. They are a powered device, though they use very little, so keep that in mind for a teardrop application.

I dropped the cable co years ago and have just used the antenna. Added the Roku this week and find it very useful as the wife likes the Korean Dramas found on Hulu.
It works great on our wifi unit. It took about ten minutes to set up. As far as using it in the "Ketza Kamper, I have my doubts. I still have a DVD player and will try to rip some movies onto a thumb drive as well. We do not watch much TV at any rate; me just a couple of shows and my daughter does not watch TV at all. (Smart kid!)

Thanks Greg! I want to use it for two TVs in adjacent rooms!

FYI: A guy that I know said the he download an App that let's him use his cell phone as a remote with the Roku so that he doesn't have to use those arrows to type in shows. He just uses the keyboard on his phone.

With Roku, I am finding the same thing. Also, the funny thing is that I have noticed that as soon as I select a show to watch, I get extremely sleepy. You don't think Roku is secretly conduting a sleep experiment and monitoring users through the Roku unit...perhaps that's why it's designed to never turn off... :?

Good post.

My Roku 2 XS has a USB port on it.

update: BTW, I have been through 2 billing cycles since I got my Roku and my monthly fee has not changed at all. I really didn't think it would since I streamed live conference would last all day before I even got the rope 2. I have a verizon mifi card. Some were saying that my fee would go up but it has not.
