I am just reorganizing mine as here I am planning on another month or two of perfect fall camping weather then I will reorganize again and hopefully get out for one winter trip. I just heard October in Minnesota is supposed to be warmer than normal and the campgrounds will be pretty empty during the week.

End of the season? Heck I always say "When the ya-hoos are headed out of the woods, I'm headed in". In other words we do a lot of fall, winter and early spring camping. The season is really just starting for us. I plan on puttering around cleaning, organizing and setting up the Zollinger for our next camping trip in two weeks. We really enjoy winter camping, although it is not for everyone you must be prepared. Nothing like being the only people in a State park for miles around with the snow gently falling and the camp fire crackling away. Ahhh. One of my happy places!

Compass Rose has reached a state of perfection, until I come up with the next project/ OK there is one unfinished project. I ran into a problem in installing the the air shocks. Too much of an angle and a too short air shock, we may also redesign the mount to be made of steel.
We did not need it this year but plan on some serious boondocking next year.

We're not quite done with the season yet but the end is in sight. I'm on the middle of a TV upgrade as the flip down monitor has been going wonky. I'll probably drain the water heater and give it a good cleaning. It's pretty dirty inside from our California trip.

I don't know about Wyoming, but around here, there's still six weeks of camping yet to go. The leaves are changing color, the hunts are getting underway, and those places that are too hot to enjoy in the heat of the summer are just about right. The frost got the tender stuff in the gardens a few mornings ago, but the days and evenings are perfect temperature wise. The much needed rain has moved on and left us with one of the greenest starts to fall that I've seen in many years.

BTW - Thursday was a five (count 'em 5) teardrop day (anyone from here?) We were working just south of Big Rock Candy Mountain on US 89, cleaning up some flood debris and I personally noted (yes it's true) 5 separate teardrops. I doubt that they were traveling together because there was quite a bit of time between them and three were going south and the other two were going north.

We've still got 1 or 2 outings left.....but, with an eye on improvement I think de cluttering and figuring out what we don't need is in order. And as always trying to figure out how to carry dog cages, beds. And all of those things that like to bring hungry spiders inside. First stop, were fine but if we make a multistop trip, inevitably our legs are savaged the second location.

I'm thinking a new pickup is the best solution

Of course winterizing the water system..

Physically though, were good. Just tweaks.

If I add anything, well be looking for a bigger trailer,,,,I don't want that.

I fix things as they occur instead of waiting and camping season may be year round here.

It depends on the snow level. If I don't have snow on the ground at my house, I can take off and head down the coast and stay out of snow. I've taken trips in February because that's when the cabin fever from constant clouds and drizzle sets in. I can get to California, where the sun might even be out. Last Feb. I went to the Napa Valley, although it was so nice in Brookings, OR that I almost stayed there.

The world is bigger than Wyoming.

Doug: you have apparently never camped at minus one. Peanut oil developes the consistancy of peanut butter.

Corn oil and safflower oil while obviously thickened does remain pourable.

So season's end is kinda a mute point.

P.S. If you sleep with your oil it will pour better just make sure the cap is tight. :D

:D No end of season yet! Still getting rid of mold and dealing with life. Almost done with this years patch. Winter will bring a complete redo for the Green Lantern.

I've got one of those stick-on weather strips that 'moved' and needs replacing but, it seems that fall is early. We're getting rain already!
