Hello from mi I have built stripp kayaks and canoes and plan to build a td the same way if I can quit looking at all the td pictures on this site.

Yes there is a lot of information to be gathered here, and a lot to see.
Your project sounds very cool.
as a non woodworker I always admire the work that goes into the natural wood finished TD's that I have seen.
