Uh oh dId I make a mistake?

So platform done and attached to 5 x 8 NT trailer. Went with a Grumman 2 profile which I just cut - love it. The end to end length of the profile is ten feet so a little bulges out back and maybe 18-20 inches sticks out over the front of trailer but I just realized that as the front roof makes the sweep down toward the frame there's going to be a flat section that sticks out in front of the frame. Is this typical? I guess I could run spars across. I guess this might be why SketchUp gets used. :-)

In response to your question,i am describing what i did.i built a 10 foot "trailer for two".I purposely made the frame 8 foot and the rear extends over a foot
And the front about 9 inches.The floor is 3/4" as well as the sides.On the sections that extend past the frame ,I glued and screwed 2" aluminum angle to tie the
floor and wall together.On the front it just goes 2" below the frame or the depth of the frame.Don't know if this helped but i really didn't have a firm plan when i started and just "wing it " as i go but i try to think a few steps ahead to avoid a big uh-oh.

Thanks Steve! Part of what I like about this is winging it and although I don't have a solution just yet, I think I can avoid disaster. That front section won't be supporting much weight, so that is good. Thanks for the suggestion.

When I attached my sidewalls to the side of the floor, I centered it so the curves ended as close as possible to the frame, or the flat part of the wall bottom was to the frame. Then I started with a roof stringer at the frame and put one every ten inches. It seems to have worked, the roof is all skined inside and out. I don't know what pics I posted as I haven't had access to a camera.

Thanks for the post. Yeah so I held the profile up on the platform and I think centering makes sense. If I had the galley end meet the frame perfectly, the front end seems to be pretty close to the trailer jack, plus leaves very little room for a battery case, etc.
