Looking for Halloween inspiration

Postby Shadow Catcher » Wed Sep 25, 2013 8:38 pm

I am looking for Halloween inspiration. Our church has a trunk or treat and most participants decorate their car, van, truck. This has been a very popular community event. Our four grand children will be attending. I decorated our Subaru even use the inverter to power lights. I was thinking of using the tear this year but having absolutely no idea of a theme/idea of how to decorate.
There are some VERY creative folks here, so give me an idea  that is a bit crazy :FNP

Out-line your teardrop with battery powered orange Halloween lights to look like a pumpkin. Add a few green on top where the fan is for a stem. you could even get one of those "flattened witches" to stick on the hatch. I think that you can get red "Dorothy" shoes or make some with a some glitter and your wife's cast off heels and stick them in the grill of your car. :D

Get some dry ice in a bowl of water inside the tear so it fills with fog. Maybe a green light inside to light it up?

Look up illusion costume... Check out you-tube for ideas.

The Styrofoam I used here was being thrown away, which I also used for my teardrop.

The eyes are actually those free harbor freight flashlights I collected during my build.

The cauldron is an old pot I got when I purchased a tree.

The body is constructed of old PVC pipe I had lying around.

I got a black gound for $2.00 at goodwill.

Get some cheap black sheets and decorate the inside like a coffin. You will have work on the "dead body" thing but you might find a teenage volunteer for that or make it a vampire.
