Do I have a groin pull or a hernia?

Things that don't fit anywhere else...

Mine didn't get worse, it moved down a bit, a little better on the whole, aches a lot in the morning, and I'm less constricted in my walking than I was at the beginning of the week.

I'm falling apart, and just after the warranty expired.

Shoot, Ira, I think I'm 18 years older than you are...what are you talking about...falling apart. I'm the one with the expired warranty. But, at least, I got my fenders done before I hurt myself....

YOU HAD TO BRING UP MY STUPID FENDERS!

I have a lot of pressure on me to make these look decent--since they're Andrew's design. Now… I know that Andrew is a nice, polite, CONSIDERATE Brit who is going to cut me some slack if they're not up to his standards.

But I'm trying to get as close to those standards as my 10 thumbs will allow.

I now have TWO new stains to test, and more sanding to do. And here's a little belt-sander bargain for you guys:

Wal-Mart carries a box of 20 sheets of sandpaper, like 12 inches by 12 inches I think. Five sheets each in four different grades.

$4.49.

You can cut them down to fit your belt-sander, and this can be a savings of like 80% over buying the pre-cut belt sheets.

Ow. My groin just started hurting me again just THINKING about all of that sanding.

I think the groin pull affected your head too? Did you miss the class Sanders 101? Belt sanders use a continous belt, not sheets. Sheets can be cut down and used for orbital or palm sanders. Sorry about the fender remark. If I offended you....well, I probably meant to. Just kidding...I was just pulling your leg. I know you are doing a great job on the fenders. You may even get them done this year...

 :chicken: :laughter:

Yep that is exactly how it happened with me. It hurt the worst to sit and stand, oh and stairs were no picnic.

Id see the doc, and ask for the little pills. Don't let it go too long I was barly able to shuffle into the doctors.

[quote="Ira"]

Since this past Thursday, I've had an ache in the inside, upper-most part of my left thigh. Right in the corner where my thigh and "that" area meet.

Can a hernia NOT hurt? Yes.
Can a hernia hurt? Yes.

Can a hernia be dangerous? Yes.
Can a hernia kill you? Yes.

Should you see your doctor, despite any objections you or others might come up with? YES!

Seriously Ira, hernias can be dangerous so the best answer you need to hear is SEE YOUR DOCTOR. Only your doctor can tell for sure.

It got worse yesterday and today--because I did more sanding.

Can I get a female doctor?

But really? It's called a palm sander? No matter--a year ago, I didn't know what an orbiital sander was until Tom showed me a picture of HIS!

I figured being able to identify a hammer, screwdriver and nail was enough to build this stupid thing.

Ira,

At my age, I try to pick a doctor by the size of their index finger. My doc is a very attentive Chinese woman with tiny hands.......She is a good MD, very intelligent, and leaves her ego outside the exam room. Just the way I do it.

Sounds like a trip to St. Augustine isn't out of the question then.

I hope Ira's gets better as fast as mine did. Today, I can't even feel the any pain in my back. I guess I just heal fast. Now, if I could get my tendonitis in my wrist to heal I'd be happy. If I could stop working and using it, it might get better, but I've got a TTT to finish.
