Many of our members are or were boat builders and boats as you well know were around long before teardrops ever hit the road.

I also look up boat galleys, hatches, doors, decks, luggage racks etc.
Paint surfaces, stains, water proofing, marine lumber, even wiring can be found helpful from a number of boat sites.
Just look at the old cars they often started out with bodies that looked like boats. Mostly the ones made with wood.
I also look at old tin lizzy sites for luggage racks, tire holders, Trunks, etc.
You might share where you look outside the forum for ideas.
