It would be nice if they sold "kits" to add the solar to out CT's...

It would be even better if they made the panels on that large trailer above work as an awning :D

It would be even much nicer if they sold it for less then $59,999

Frankly after building my 2,100 watt trailer I believe about 30% of their BS, the batteries
Alone would weigh 1,300 lbs , about 500 lbs for racks & panels , another 300 lbs for other
Stuff inverter, charge controller etc
I'm talking about the smaller MS 225 trailer

No way in hell you could run a 7,000 watt load as they claim.

A 25 KW battery at 12.6 volts would get you about 1,984 AH and that at max 80% over 20 hour drain 1,587 AH

1,587 over 20 hours = 79.36 amps per hour

Now knock off another 10- 20% for actual inverter loss etc gives you a real life 64 AH draw or about 800 watts......
Just enough to run a nice 6,000 Btu room AC
with a little left over for lights & tv.

Then you need a 3 day break to recharge the batteries - I doubt you would get over 6,000 watts on 6 panels
If exterior temp is around 80 deg.

That's a hell of a long way from 7,000 watts they claim

One trailer for all the electricity you could ever use and one for everything else...or maybe a third that is the chuckwagon...and a fourth for extra fuel. Oregon allows triple trailers for commercial haulers. One of us gets a commercial driver's license and a tractor rig, then we could just all get narrow-gauge train couplers and go to gatherings as a camping train!
 :?

The state I'm in allows "ball to ball" towing, I'm planning on trying to pull my 16ft boat behind my CT next spring for some camping...

cornfused,
Ball to ball?

Jerry,
ATV? (I don't see any TV in that photo.)

Speaking of big ATVs, I once rode in this one out to Point Barrow, Alaska:

Ok, let me re-phrase. They allow triple towing (two trailers pulled at once by a pickup truck) where the front trailer can be a "ball" type where most states that allow it state that the leading trailer must be a 5th wheel/(non ball) hitch. Like this picture...

Image

My state is one of a handful that allow the first trailer to have a ball hitch, hence the term "ball to ball" because the smaller rear trailer will always be a ball hitch type.

8) cornfused, MtnDon, hankeye, and Jerry,

Thanks for clearing that up. The "rainbow flag option" was NOT where I wanted to go visually. :frightened:

No, I'm not going to get a Romanian off-road, rescue vehicle, although that one is really awesome. I'm more in relaxation mode these days, so I'm planning to get back to traveling to nice destinations around southern Mexico on first class busses.
:relaxing:
For me it way beats flying from place to place because I get to see the awesome countyside, the mountains, the tropical valleys, the long stretches of river and ocean beaches. Plus I don't have to worry about a thing cuz I'm not doing the driving and all I need for a month fits in a small Jansport luggage/travel pack:
