Hello everyone. My name is Robert Perez.
I live in South Texas but work and travel wherever the oil field takes me.

I'm not a master craftsman or anything but I always love working with my hands.
I came across a teardrop picture a few weeks ago and was instantly hooked!

My kids (6 and 9 years old) are excited to help with the build and my wife is excited to help me with design ideas and upcoming weekend trips.

I've spent many hours already researching topics for my build. I'm going in the "off-road" direction. I live about an hour away from South Padre Island, TX and it is our favorite get away spot. Camping along the shore is the motivation for this build.

I will be building my camper off of a 5x8 frame and extending it an additional 18 inches out the back.

welcome Robert there are a few tears on here that sleep four and you have one of the best places to camp in the state of Texas. M e and my family spent a week there back in the 80's and my kids still talk about it. Well good luck with the build and enjoy it with your family.
