The video has been around for ages. It interests everyone, but no one has been able to find out anything more. That seems to say there were'nt many, if any besides this one, made. Looks cool though. There had to be extra bracing in the roof and a bigger engine etc.

Nope, no extra bracing in the roof. Look where it is attached. The VW was a super beetle with a 1600cc engine. I'm surprised you didn't notice all that, with you loving VW's. The roof of a sedan is a lot stronger than the roof of the VW bus.

I always wonder if that was able to get to highway speed.

Now if I had the time and money tying to make one out of foam might be interesting.
