UB121100 battery is the best AGM value out there?

Postby hafley » Sun Oct 27, 2013 1:57 am

I've been looking at batteries for over a week.

I've found the UB121100 Group 30H 12 v 110 Ah battery is the lowest in terms of price per amp-hour. They can be had for around $163 online with no tax. $196 after shipping to California.

That breaks down to $1.48 or $1.78 per amp-hour.

Thoughts?

That's a great price, have you got a link? I'm running 220 amp-hrs of golf cart batteries; its been awhile since I checked but they could be found at Costco for around $80 each. However, I'd like to step up to AGMs and that's the best price I've seen.

But nowhere do I see "deep cycle" in the specs.

I didn't get the price he did, $338.48 to me. Ouch! I'm pretty sure it's a deep cycle battery , it's listed for use in golf carts and UPS, which are some of the most challenging battery applications out there.

Yeah I'm silly I should have posted in the original post. Sears and Battery Sharks are the two best prices I've found online.

$203 to my door, I'd need two of them to get the same amp-hr capacity I have now. I'll cruise on over to the
big boy RV site and see what info is available, I know I've seen this battery over there. The site's down right now...

Here's a link to a somewhat off topic post on the UB121100. One guy is on 5 years with his and the price you found is good.

I paid about $400 for the Lifeline 150AH AGM battery. It replaced a China made 75AH AGM battery that failed, probably didn't help it that Eye4Design screwed up the wiring and it boiled.
