Hello From New Mexico!!

Postby RubySuby » Sun Oct 27, 2013 7:05 pm

We have been looking for a small camper to tow behind our Subaru and have been researching on the forums here a bit, learning about all the different models and types. And thanks to all the great info, when we saw this Wazat come up for sale locally we grabbed it! We are very excited, it is a used-twice 2010 model that has been sitting inside a storage unit for 2 1/2 yrs. We are having lots of fun giving it a little TLC after so long. We are looking forward to heading to a gathering or camp out sometime soon!!
Here is a photo of it just after we picked it up, we had to add a little air in the tires before we hit the road, it also came with a factory screen room that we tried out today in the backyard.

I really like the screen-tent-thingy. Looks like a great option to put up if you need it, but leave down if you don't.

Thanks! We really like it too, the top frame folds up into the "lid" of the galley and you can use it with only the top, one side (as pictured) or with both sides and zipped up. It has the option of screening or plastic sheeting that unzips in the windows, which may come in handy for winter time. Seems very well built, we can't wait to try it out "in the field" and not just the backyard! :D

Unfortunately under the Galley is the A/C and the water storage tank/pump/hoses etc. I think in dry models without A/C this is all storage underneath but here in the Southwest I am happy to trade some storage for the A/C/ and water tank. Luckily my handy hubby installed an aluminum tongue rack this weekend for some of the bulky lighter items. The galley area is pretty roomy and deep so I am hoping some creativity with totes and boxes will meet our storage needs.
Thanks!!

We will check it out! Now we just have to work around the full time jobs and get some time off! Since we own our own small business talking to the boss will be easy, time off... not so easy! ;)
