Since it was a gorgeous weekend and we'd stayed home the weekend before, I got a "kitchen pass" on Saturday and took the bike out for a much needed long ride. Before I left I told my wife "go out and have fun!" because I hate it when she does yard work or something while I go for a ride.
Anyway, I got home around 5 and she was anxious to show me what she'd picked up at a yard sale nearby:
From what we can tell it's a Coca Cola cooler from the 1940's or 50's. Stainless steel and heavy! Appears to be intact apart from a few minor dings, even has the original food tray:
Over on Fleabay, they are asking $300+ for these in worse condition. Wife paid less than half that, and was worried she'd paid too much.
I think it will polish up nicely and be a great addition to our vintage-looking teardrop when we go camping! I told her it was a great score!
No Colemans, but she always asks if they have any lanterns for sale!
