(FS PA) 2012 5x10 Convertible Teardrop - SOLD

Postby absolutsnwbrdr » Tue Sep 03, 2013 1:59 pm

The X-II has been a blast to camp with for the past 2 summers and I'm apprehensive to part with her, but all good things must come to an end. Its time for someone else to take the reins and show her the open road. I've been up to Massachusetts, and down to Virginia Beach. From concerts and tailgating in Pittsburgh, visiting the horses on Assateague Island, and camping at music festivals in PA, many tours have been given all along the way and whoever is interested in leading the X-II into 2014 better be ready to do the same.

This teardrop camper always gets attention in the campground! Its a one-of-a-kind custom build, great for camping, tailgating, concerts, music festivals, and whatever else you can think of!!

Yes, it is completely waterproof! I've driven through, as well as camped in, torrential downpours and never had any problems. I've had it for 2 years, and its time for someone else to enjoy it. The only reason I'm selling is to make room for a new project.

About the teardrop...
- 5' wide, 10' long, ~6'-2" high from ground to top of fan cover - fits into standard garage easily!!
- only weighs 1100lbs - can be towed by most 4cyl. cars, trucks, and SUV's
- 3-speed reversible roof fan to help circulate air on hot summer nights
- convertible top with screen roof to keep the bugs out!!
- two removable marine-vinyl roof covers (1 white, 1 brown)
- spare tire
- cargo tray for camp chairs, canopies, etc.
- Queen size memory foam mattress with cover
- Coleman 2-burner portable propane camp stove
- custom curtains and matching handmade quilt
- plenty of storage for coolers and food in the galley

Electrical:
- wired for 12V DC and 110V AC
- two group 27 Interstate deep-cylce RV batteries (brand new in Feb 2013)
- 140W solar panel with charge controller - keeps the batteries charged up even when you can't plug in
- all low-power LED lighting, including color-selectable interior accent lighting
- CD/MP3 Stereo with remote controls, and iPod/iPad hookup!
- 110VAC outlets in each the cabin and the galley (for use when plugged into campground power)
- two 12vdc outlets and two USB ports in each the cabin and the galley - great for charging cell phones, tablets, and GPS devices!!
- 7" portable DVD player inside - perfect for rainy days!

And now for some pictures....

BUMP!

Local pickup is required. And I strongly encourage any serious potential buyer to come check out the X-II in person.

Cash is strongly preferred. Checks of ANY KIND will not be accepted.

However....

I have a VERIFIED PayPal Business Account for my company, Z.Kaylor Designs, which means I can accept a credit card payment. You can click the little PayPal star below to see my information on PayPal's website.

There is also a payment option through PayPal called "Bill Me Later". It is essentially a line of credit given to qualified buyers. CLICK HERE for the "Bill Me Later" terms.

For the convenience of using Paypal, a PayPal transaction fee (2.5%) will added to the final price.

Thanks for looking!

I can't believe you're selling your beautiful, custom trailer, Zach.

It's a piece of art.

We've never seen a teardrop anywhere with these lighting features. It's so cool!

Someone is going to be awfully lucky to get this teardrop.

Thanks! I struggled with the decision to sell, but I'm gearing up for a new build so its time to part ways with this one

Put the brand new tires and wheels on it, so its ready to go! I have "for sale" signs posted on it and I've been towing it around town for the past week. Handed out business cards to a few people who stopped me to ask about it.

Also went camping at Codorus State Park on Saturday night. Definitely drew some attention in the campground and gave a few tours. Temps only dropped to about 60 on Saturday night, so it was a great night to sleep with the top off! Nothing beats the cool fresh air and sounds of nature!

If I had the money I would snatch this up. I was hoping it would be a year or two before you sold it so I could, just in love with this tear!

Just because its getting cooler out doesnt mean you can't enjoy the convertible teardrop just a bit longer with the removable insulation panels! 1-1/2" of ceiling insulation, and you can still use all the lights and the ceiling fan!!
