I see the windows. Whatever works is fine.
My 5x10 has 2 x 8 flooring so I would have a head start in that area. If I was going to make the CT just for me for wilderness camping, option (b) would be a good option for me. But I want something my wife will accept and which does not look so "home made" if that makes sense.

:NC House windows break into blades and pieces of sharp glass when you hit a hard bump or hole at speed. RV windows are made of tempered safety glass (laminated) so they don't do that.

8) Stay safe!

P.S. Humm...I think the reason all RV windows also have radius corners is to eliminate point stress at the corners! :thinking:

Prem wrote::thumbsup: Good on ya!

A slide-in box on a utility trailer is a really good idea, in my view, provided that a) you have other uses for the flatbed utility trailer regularly, or b) you take a grinder and get rid of the expanded metal floor (cheese grater) and weld in a some center support on the floor so you can have a really good (and smooth) trailer chassis for your camping box. (This second idea is probably what I will build next.)

P.S. Did you notice the non-RV windows on that rig? NOT GOOD :thumbdown:

Bob,

:thumbsup: Yeah. I've seen that one. Nice job for sure, but the issue for me is the height of the door, since the guard rails on the utility trailer don't allow it to come down to the bottom (near floor level).

I think I'd do something with a rear door (where there's no guard rail)---something like a Bowlus Road Chief in reverse. :thinking:

Jerry,

Thanks for reminding me why I'm not a real estate agent or a multi-millionaire. :lol:

I become more and more of a minimalist every year. :thumbsup:

I think that saying has finally reprogrammed my subconscious completely:

"I've done so much with so little for so long that I can now do almost anything with almost nothing."

Ya know it wasn't that long ago the Stick and metal RV's windows were squared off in the corners. Mostly the radiused
windows came into being when the RV's started to be made of Fiberglass / filon and the like.

Hank,

I know. I installed rectangular RV windows in one of my homemade rigs. Bare aluminum frames, screens held in with spring clips or a center post cover and one rusting screw. :NC They were a dime a dozen when old slide-in campers first started to get abandoned or scraped.
