My car went to the shop and I now do not have a car (wheels) I am stuck at home so I am working on various things around the house and I have a couple of things to do (on my list) on my TD. I am going to put in a full day tomorrow working on it First to put a brace in it for the back of the shelf then two middle braces, I will then cut out the shelf of two inch foam. I will cover it in canvas and will glue it on. Friday I will measure for the vertical pieces that separates the galley and sleeping area. there is two. I will cover them with canvas. I will let it all dry till next Wednesday. I have a lot of sanding to do on the very top so will do that and then get it ready to paint. That's my plan. Hopefully I can keep to it. I will do my best and by next Friday the galley should be separate from the sleeping area. I wonder if my car will be ready by then?

My car is still in the shop. I now have a deadline March I have several things to be be done on my TD by then I want to go and camp with the Magnoila Gulf coast chapter of the tearjerkers. I would love to camp on my way down to New Orleans.

Sounds good to me. I can only stay home for so long. Right now I just need some encouragement to get all the stuff done that I know needs to get done. I plan to be free this next year. WOO HOO I will get things done!!!

Yep, it is a 1992 Mitsubishi eclipse and sometimes the parts are not readily available. and the man who repairs works alone and had two on the rack before mine got there and he had to finish them before he could get mine in. I am patient because he is good. and I trust him. Being a single woman 63 you have to be able to trust your repair man. I have checked with others and they always want more :money: to repair and they always have shady people hanging around their shops. The only other place is to take it to a dealer and that is 90 miles away and the wrecker driver would have charged me :money: .....and the dealer would still be trying to figure out  what is wrong and they would probably tell me it could not be repaired  and I needed to buy a new car :money: . You know it has been difficult but I will manage and I know that I have to make changes in my life regarding my vehicle situation but I guess that is on my agenda after the new year.

I am working on the inside of my TD today I cut some foam last week but to be honest I changed my mind about how I was going to put in the shelf  so I have to redo the whole thing. I am putting up a take down wall for the foot of the bed but how I was going to do it, I changed my mind and now I have to figure out  how to put a temp wall that can be removed if we remove the mattress or to put the sheet under the foot of the bed.

I have been sewing and repaired 8 pairs of jeans, three shirts and 2 hand towels. I have been keeping busy!!!

I am waiting for the temp to come up a little outside then to more measuring and cutting foam.

Well I get my car back tomorrow!!! :D yea, I am so happy :dancing and the first thing I am going to get is TBII ,1/2 inch bolts, hasps and some camera batteries and milk. Then work real hard on the inside of my TD because I have a camp out in January in Fla. With my cousins. I want to have the shelves and the cubby holes done and the front canvased and the second paint job and the hasps in place and ready for the road.

Ok I brought home TBII tonight so I have a job tomorrow. Gotta canvas the shelves, and I am rather excited. I also went to good will and found a hang up clothes protector that will work as my closet for a while. I also got lock clasps for the hatch. I just hope they work. I will check them out tomorrow. That is a major thing since I really hate the tie downs they are a pain. I will put the extension cord down to the barn and sand a little more on the top then I guess I will be about ready to paint it for the second time. I have a real neat thing I want to paint on the back and up and across. Well to work tomorrow!!!

I used the jig saw to cut out the shelves. and sanded and glued them up but had to take time out today to put another board up for the crawl space. So I started with that picture.

114249 The old one was rotten on the bottom and had dropped down 2 inches. I used two
foam boards.
114248 gluing the lip on the edge of the shelf

114248 gluing and gettin' weight on it

114247

114246 Saving the glue

114244

114237 glue ready
114243 gluing the second shelf

Thats ok I learn from pictures and by doing. Go for it you will learn a lot but take a pad and write down the date and name of the section and thread if you want to remember important parts. I started doing that and lost it. things like for harbor freight HF trailer put #8 hardened bolts on the corners and high stress parts. I know I read it but haven't found it again. I like pictures too. and It is ok on this section we are a different bunch here. 8) It is really ok. we like to have fun too. :R I hope you will stop by some even if you don't build a foamie and if you do you are welcome either way. There are a few who believe  in us!!!!

The Important thing is that we Believe !!! .... Actually, we KNOW it works , so little faith is required ... ;) There will be no more tolerance of those who say it won’t work . Non-believers can just “bugger off” ... :R
