Ned I don't know where you live but you can keep the white stuff. It is 64 today sun out and just a little breezy. Love this GA weather. :D

GPW my license expires in 2016 so I have plenty of time. that is a hefty fine for non renewal Boo!!!

I guess it is time to get mine weighed, will go and get the weight at the dump. They will weigh it by itself but I have to take it off the hitch, and they can weigh the front to get hitch weight by putting just the hitch on the scale. you have to lower the hitch down 3 inches from your hitch ball on your car. I watched them weigh one a couple of months ago. I don't know how accurate their scales are but I am gonna try it.

Have you taken the FS yet to get the inspection and tag?

That , and I had to pass through a metal detector , and naturally kept setting it off.. thought I’d have to strip right there.. had to even remove my belt ... :frightened: ... Not like I was taking a flight or anything , I was just there to get my Free Ken DL renewed... Sheeesh !!! This homeland security bit has gone a little too far ... Nothing worse than a ( fill in here) with a whistle

Cool this morning , so we went out and plugged in the little “milkhouse” electric heater ... 10 minutes , and we were turning it off ... :o So that works ... A little insulation goes a long way ... 8)

Had an idea for a vent ... inexpensive , rainproof , commonly available ... A Dryer vent :o ... Had to buy one for our dryer, and was looking at it and thinking  ...this would be Perfect for the FS ... fits in a 4” hole , easily sealable ... trim off the inside at the wall , and use the enclosed trim ring to make a simple screen for it ... and it’s light (Aluminum) ... Under $10...

Check to see if it has a flapper in it. Most of those are designed to exhaust out and may check against drawing air in... depending on how you intend to use it, you may have to defeat the flapper.

4” computer fan would fit too for exhaust ? Could be solar ? ... Could just prop open the flapper when needed with a bit of wire strategically located ... Didn’t want to put a hole in the roof, but on the back wall up high over the door , it might be OK ... Just a vent ... and a Thrifty one too ... :D

I'd think that would work well, and if there is a flapper it is a good feature... if it keeps the weather out of the trailer on the way out of town!

What a great idea. I could see putting a little wire on the flapper to push it open and Hmmmmmm a way to block it open.

Why not another vent to put the little fan in, would that be enough vent ? if it got too hot I think a big fan in the open door would work........... :fan: Then if it got too hot for that Turn on the AC. But would two vents work for the winter? Might have to put a little insulation in them. Think some foam would work???

Fantastic fan , fantastic prices :o ... Have to pass on that ...
We’ll have to see when we install the vent in the house (dryer) ... Then we can better decide ... The dryer vent seems like the Thriftiest idea ... and since it rains here, a LOT , the hood would work well to keep that out ... :D

Weather still too breezy to go to the SP office ... Just waiting for a nice day ... The weekend past was perfect (no wind) , but they weren’t open on the weekend ..

And now , a real test :o ... Going down to the mid 30’s tonight ( unseasonably COLD) ... we get to test the FS insulation in real conditions ... 8)

*** Noticed the extension cord got slightly warm-ish when using the milkhouse' heater ... That’s 1500watts ... so 1500w/ 120v = 12.5 Amps ... :frightened: Now thinking a smaller (less power hungry) heater might do a good job ... Doesn’t take much (or so we’ll see tonight) ...

Just signed up. Coincidentally, I thought similarly just the other day when I saw a plastic vent with 3 or 4 flaps, like a window. Should work, also, at least for exhaust.
