hey, I never said there was anything modern about it ...

altho I used to have a link to the gunsmith company where it was made.
You can buy one like it for circa $500 ... altho on the site they don't offer the barrel length from the movie. I think it's a special order...

Many moons and a couple of estate sales ago I met a real Sharps.
They are some kinda stout.

Hi Spadinator

Isnt it a little dangerous to carry a Replica gun? The V10 in the picture is a pretty realistic replica, but it is only a replica.

Was it some kind of test to see if anyone would spot the Replica?

Hi Jack

I dont think its a replica, I Know without a shadow of a doubt that its a replica.

The gun shown is a fake. An extremely detailed fake with accurate markings too, it weighs about one third less than the original.

Would be interesting to see if anyone else can spot the dead giveaway.

Damn, Spadinator as let the Cat out of the bag......

Here is an original V10, not quite as "cute"

The fake is by the Model Gun Company

Hi Jack

its the weirdest thing, look at this next photo, its the same gun foma different angle

I really "lucked in" by some quirk the first thing I got when I looked up the V10 was the english Webpage selling replica's and spotted that the picture was the same ....

well George, I can certainly see the block in the barrel in that pic but I went back and forth between the original pic and the Springfield website comparing the 2 and it simply eluded me
