It's SO unbelievable that at first, I thought it was a Photoshop job and not real.

But you know what's even more morbid about it to me?

With an accident like that, I think you DO know what happened to you for a short while. That you ARE conscious.

There are stories about guys falling onto the tracks and getting stuck between a subway car and the wall/edge of the platform. (The EMS workers tell these stories.) They say the guy is conscious, alert, no pain even--but once they move the train to get him out and everything drops into place in his body, he dies immediately.

Man, this is depressing the crap out of me.

Hi

Something doesnt had up with the initial photographs

1. the rider could not have ended up in vehicle (plastered over the outside maybe, but inside, no)

2. did they remove bike remove remains and then valet the inside before reinserting the bike? and then reinsert the loose glass

I think this is a set up for road safety, maybe a recreation?

Please email your link to me Ira I'll wait till after Dinner.

I'm sure it's a recreation in the sense that you can see they cut and folded back the roof to get the bodies out, so they must have 're-assembled' the accident for display purposes.

But at least one Swede seems to think the accident was real and reported in his local newspaper:

Hi AngiB

Looking at the links, it seems to be a mix of true/recreated and embelished a little.

Flipped definately, but original photo's from the scene show it flipped and still at the junction.

Biker stayed external for sure (well most of him did)

I just sent the photos to Andrew.

But George, you gotta PM me your email address, because it's not a link.

If I had your address previously, I've lost it since. That's just the kind of guy I am.

Julie, I will always remeber him!!!!! Thank you.
As for those not familiar with the accident or as I like to call a bastard kid that was speeding and killed a 48 year old father husband grandfather and friend way too early. My mother is legally blind and had her help killed. And the rest of us lost a good friend, a dad, and a grand dad. My step father went to pick up their Gold wing and was less than 1 mile from home when he was making a turn into a devider on a 4 lane divided highway. And some punk 19 yr old was traveling in excess of 75 mph in a 45mph zone came up on a mini van in the slow lane and jerked into the fast lane and hit him in the left rear of the bike. From the rear pegs back exploded and he was thrown many feet away. His left leg was crushed, his left arm was broken in many places, his collar bone replace where his laraynax was suppose to be. It was impossible to get an air way in and a tracheotomy was impossible as well. He had internal bleeding that was.Sorry that is all that I can say.
Please all of you who ride becarful and to those who don't PLEASE WATCH FOR THOSE WHOM DO.

Steven,

I am so sorry for your loss. There's not one of us here on the site who can do more than imagine how you and your family must be feeling right now. Just know that each and every one of us, in our own way, is supporting you through thoughts and/or prayers and wishes nothing but peace for you and your family.

chris, thank you for the thoughts and prayers. I had brought this up in a different thread. And still want to thank all. Things are quite abit different around here now so I don't get to check in and add as much as I would like but I do try. It is kinda my little way to get away.

Sonetpro,
I've been over that bridge on a bike.

I said two reactions "to" that type of photo.

Mine is NOT the reaction of "OMIGOD, ban motorcyles NOW!!"
