Frame material thickness?

Does anyone know the metal gauge or thickness in inches/mm for a NorthernTools 5x8 frame? Thanks

I searched every posting and ad for the NT frame trailer. Searched all over the Web, found nothing. There is an e-mail address you can pass a note to for info and this looks like the only way to find out. It's really lousey for a company not to provide a full comprehensive list of info about their goods. Not having the info would turn me off the company.

A year or so ago I posted a question about the 5 x8 trailer's frame size and gauge to Northern Tool and they answered. I am not 100 % confident that I remember their answer. They did answer within a day. You might find it in their posted Q&A's. Probably better to post your own question to Northern Tool.

It looks like they changed manufacturers since I asked them about the frames size and gauge. It may have changed. The newest, unanswered, question for the NT 5 x 8 asks about the frame gauge. Your question?

I've been trying to find the old page but I can't. I had it about a week or two ago... been trying to use my browser history to find it, but it does not pull up anymore. I don't know if there was anything there other than the image and a note that it was discontinued. I have one of the old/previous ones, but it is presently buried in snow up in the mountains.

From Northern Tool...

"On this 5' x 8' trailer the thickness of the steel is 1/8" and the frame side rails are 1 1/2" W x 3 3/16" H."

This is for the current model which has recently changed part number and name from previous listings. I do believe the material thickness was the same previously. Not sure about the W & H of the main frame, but likely the same or very close.

Went and looked at one the other night. Looks like the frame is .118" thick angle iron and ditto for the tongue.

The illustrations in the manual look like the front, rear and sides are C channel. Looks like the inside cross members are C channel too, though its not quite as clear if that is correct.

Ours is all channel. No angle iron in the beast
