Very cold but I think I would enjoy camping in the FS. Might have to put down a mess of rugs and wear booties as the floor is not insulated but it would be do able. And park close to the bathrooms.

I don't think you really need it for your uses. Some rugs and booties should be just fine.

It could be worse, GPW. We have the White Stuff here; not fluffy, but solid ICE. Always ICE. Fortunately, I had scheduled Wed-Fri off (the wife flew to NYC), so when the ice storm hit Thursday, I wasn't faced with the impossible/impassable drive to work (60miles, one way). The TV news show cars mostly stopped on the overpasses on the highways (for hours at a time). My normal drive time, one way, ranges from 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours. My longest time was 4.75 hours (sleet, not yet frozen). I have to go over at least 5 of the "closed" sections to get there anyway. And to get to travelled/sanded? main feeder streets, I have to first get out of my driveway (75feet uphill on 1.75"-2.5" ice), turn, and go another 110feet on the same). Then there's the crowned roads to the feeder street. 2miles, never sanded, and always 10 or more cars slid into the bar-ditches. I've only seen one truck move down my road, normally dozens, since Thursday (a dually diesel 4WD). I just can't wait to try the drive Monday am. Not expected to melt, as it's 15 degrees on my back porch this morning, and expected to stay in the 20's all weekend. More sleet forecast for tonight. After making that drive for 21 years (or similar lengths from other homes for the previous 23), I may not even try. I would utilize this time to work on my cars, or trailer (another mod), but it's too cold, and frozen in anyway (I'm used to working outside in 100-110 degrees, in summer).

Just sitting around thinking , decided to add an extra entrance to the FoamStream ... Now that makes it really BIGGER on the inside, and we can add a couple extra bedrooms , a swimming pool , a beach , or maybe an alternate Universe... I know ... More coffee... :coffee:

Awesome! I was at the mall yesterday, and begged and begged for my very own tardis, only $39.99, and my wife didn't seem to understand the importance of the purchase.

Yes more coffee. I need enough to swim in. It was -18 at my place overnight. Clear up to a balmy +1 now. I do not expect to break 10 today.

I do like your alternate side door. Did you get a copyright approval for that?

GPW Could you take and post a close up picture of your door opening, showing how you water proofed the opening and a picture of the side of the doors? Thanks.

I like the blue of the booth ........I thought who was red?????

I will go and take a picture of my doors. I need to add some type of water proofing so my TD will not fill with water through the door. I just found where water got in and I gotta do something. The water got in, the canvas where it was not painted and it swelled up and now I have to sand off the folds. It will be the new year project. I have never finished the doors and I don't even have windows yet. So the doors will be the first in the new year. If I take pictures nice and up close remembering that they are exactly two inches OK? I will post them on Grits. any help will be muchly appreciated.

Well, it’s Too Cold (for me) to do any work outside (Brrrrr!!!!) ... but it’s been a good chance to Test the FS insulation ... It’s gotten down to the 30’s here , and no matter how COLD , it still takes only 10 minutes to get WARM in the FS ... I’ve tested this several times now , and although a test , it’s just more a chance for me to warm the old aching bones ... Nice to have a portable Foamie’ “Sauna"... when needed... ;)
