Here is a CL2 I got at an estate sale last Aug/Sep. It came with the case for $10. One of the better deals I have gotten around here lately. It is a Sep 1984

Image

It does something really strange that I have yet to figure out. When it is first fired it burns great, bright and all and burns just fine until I dim it down or spin the dial to run the cleaning needle. After that the right mantle goes dim to almost no light. Shut it down let it cool and fire it back up and it is once again a happy camper. I have gone through about 6 fire ups and shut downs and it still does it. On the fire up it runs fine until the dial is closed to dim or clean the nozzle. Strange, very strange.

I must tell you all something. I have been stepping out a bit. At the Coleman Collectors Forum. Its the big time over there. Its kind of scary. They make me do things. Bad things. Things I dont want to do, but I do it because they are doing it.

If I have a contest over there are you all going to abandon me? Its just a whole different world over there. :?

Maybe once I'm done building my camper I'll have more time to wander into that rabbit hole.
