Newbie here

My wife and I have decided to jump into this thing headfirst. You guys are awesome and I look forward to contributing to the forum. I'm an Eagle Scout so naturally I love camping but my wife isn't hardcore like that and we have two small dogs we travel with so a teardrop is a good fit for us. I am and architect and have renovated our ca. 1900 house from top to bottom and now my tools are lonely in the basement, so its time to bust 'em out. A couple years ago my dad built a 21' mahogany runabout boat so I'm familiar with the camaraderie of these type of groups. I guess I got a good dose of moving works of art in my blood! I'm really interested in Tom's silver beetle and the beautiful Atma Travelear. You guys rock! I hope to put a mid-century spin on mine. I'm ready to make some sawdust but sitting tight, working through the details right now.

Thanks!
David

Welcome. Don't hang back. Get planning, building and dint be shy about asking advice. The folk here are awesome. I'm hoping to take my td on her maiden voyage for new year, or Hogmanay depending in your location.

Welcome David and wife. I know you will do quite well with your build with that background . I will also introduce you to Tearjerkers, They are made up of people who like to camp and have group camp outs in different areas, Both organized and the unorganized. The group is international and there are people who are from all over. They are just fine folk who like to camp, sit by the fire and eat well from the dutch ovens and grills and drink wine or sample the home brews, enjoying the good life all while swapping tales. To join go camping with them, better yet join on line it only takes a minute, Welcome to the forum and will be looking for your build with lots of :pictures: .
