What kind of a design should the 10th be? Starting standie!

I am curious what comes of this thread. I have a 5x8 trailer, 5x10 sheets of plywood and some doors sitting in a friends barn. I'd love to see what comes out of this thread before the builder starts cutting panels.

The one that kinda looks like the flights on A dart, Only in front.
That could be turned into some storage space, IF it didn't leak when going down the road.

I'll throw down for "other". The Cub/Modernistic is by far my absolute favorite teardrop profile. But with so much of our membership getting older and less flexible, I think a Standy of the bread loaf style would be cool. Maybe something based on the old Hayes trailers, just shorter in length. Something in the 13-14 foot range with night time facilities. I think the T@b-like design was already covered with the big pink foamie (if you already have drawings you could post on that one).

Since my initial teardrop build, I've thought about what build #2 will be.

Instead of a full indoor galley, I like the idea of a outside galley that pull-outs from underneath an interior seat bench.

My thoughts are standy but it has to be stored in the garage. This means a standy with a drop floor like:

Also, to get permission from the CFO for build #2 it has to have an indoor porta-potty at a minimum and preferably a shower. These three have both.

I notice that none of those 3 pics has a hatch or a galley out back... The survey is starting to show that a galley out back is preferred. Tom, would you want an indoor galley or an outdoor galley?

My kids are only 12-yo, so I still have fond thoughts of a camper that sleeps 3. I voted clamshell, as I think that can be adapted for a bunk bed, maybe. My other choice would be a 6-footer, again for the option of a bunk. I may be in the older, stiffer demographic that wants a standy and a warm place to sit inside when it rains, but I also represent parents who would like an affordable camper that includes the kids. (OMG, I really represent the stiffer demographic on these cold winter mornings!!!)

Standy with galley in the back using a typical pop-up trailer frame..Plenty of possibilities to re-arrange the cabin for sleeping 2 to 4 people.. ...The box of my pop-up is 12 foot long in the folded down position....The wife always liked cooking outside we hang the stove outside like about all tent trailers have that option...Hate tracking in and out of the camper to do any cooking...

I like an outdoor galley. We love cooking a big breakfast while camping. Bacon and sausage grease/smell is not something I want inside a camper.

I voted for standy. Myself I would prefer a minimal inside galley, with the components easily picked up and transported out to the picnic table for more serious cooking.

We travel as much as camp, and lots of times breakfast is coffee and cereal before we hit the road. Nice to get that going while we clean up and dress.

It's tied 12 and 12. It looks like I am going to have to do 2 designs. One too big, and the other too small... as what's her name would say. But the poll is overwhelmingly in favor of an outside galley!

We still got lots of time to vote, but you gotta vote to break that tie!
