New Coleman mantles suck. Get yourself some old mantle like gold tops or silklites , or a good modern alternative are Peerless brand. All are available from oldcolemanparts.com

Only coleman I ever blew a hole in was because of a Missing screen in the turner tube of a 290 adjustable. But I have had the coleman 21 just fall off in traveling in the camper.
