I did a little layout on the fly and started cutting out the switch recess for one of the pillow lights last night. About 5 deg's warmer then, and warmer still today. Only a couple of pics that I will get to next time.

KC, seems you’ve hit on the formula for a Good Holiday season ... “ Always lots of good people trying to help each other! “ ... ;)

Yup, can't argue with that!

Slowly working up to our family Xmas dinner here at the house. A few less people planned for this year, only 13, so I am mixing things up and am finally going to do a standing rib roast instead of turkey. Changing up the menu some: 7 rib roast, horseradish and herb crust with horseradish sauce; my seriously sharp (Cabot) macaroni and cheese (Betty Crocker's old recipe, none of that cheese soup in a can cra...p; I will add crispy bacon to about 2/3rds...Yvette likes her's w/o); Yvette made pre stuffed potatoes today to be twice baked; cranberry relish (whole fresh cranberry's, a whole orange and some sugar processed to a minced texture... yum... very popular); Graber olives; green beans al dente with butter toasted almonds; some fresh snow flake rolls (very soft sorta sweet, sorta sour dinner rolls); and herb butter. Everyone asks, "what can I bring?", and the answer is always, "dessert", so there will be lots of those (hopefully mom will bring pecan pie... the best ever, hint, hint... really, I don't even need to ask any more, she's so good). Yvette has made rum balls, peanut butter balls with chocolate chips, spritz cookies, and her infamous oatmeal cookies with raisins and butterscotch chips, yum.

Note that mom usually does a rib roast on Xmas eve (and will do same this year for a big family get together), so this is a sort of throw down; rib roast two nights in a row! How could that be a bad thing?

Here's another tidbit, who can say that they have more photos posted than they have posts? Over 3,000 each? :frightened: :? :R

Not an addiction, it's a lifestyle!  :D 8)

Planning to make pecan pies as usual for Christmas day. We, too, have a 7-rib roast and 16 (maybe 18) guests coming for Christmas Eve. (I'll let KC post pics of our feast.) Herbed Yogurt Cheese and veggie platter, Herbed Rib Roast, Rotisserie Roast Chicken, Mother's Winter Squash (Hubbard), Caramelizzed-Onion and Pecan Brussels' Sprouts, Cumin-Scented Quinoa and Black Rice; Double-Cranberry Molded Salad, Cape Cod Chopped Salad, Peppermint Stick Ice Cream and an assortment of Gluten-Free Cookies. P.S. Tried to put smilies in but all I got was the URL. Don't know how to do it.

It is not Utah/Idaho if there is no green Jello someplace.

In New England it's all about cranberries as in both salads.

Huff! Puff! I finally caught up! This is one long thread. KC, you're awesome. All this incredible detail and you're in most every topic I'm reading, too. It's 2:30 in the AM. I thought I was never going to get to the end.

Merry Christmas to all, and you're all invited over to my build thread. Not quite the quality here, but you're all welcome.
I'll burn that bridge when I come to it.
