That is not just out of my league, it is out of my universe.

If I had enough money to buy that and not have to worry I would fire that sucker up.

I agree with you Randy......I don't have any lanterns I would not burn. But that would be fun to own.

I have 3 lanterns that many purest collectors would cringe to learn I fired up. One is the 20th anniversary of the ICCC Lantern #182. It took me all of 2 hours to get fired up. The other is a Thermos inverted that had never been fired. It is in near perfect condition but no box and somehow I got it from the fleecebay for $40, $58 delivered to my door. It was burning in about 1/2 hour. Then there is a 1939 220B with a box that I could not tell if it had never been fired, had been restored or what. Got it at an estate sale and no one could tell me any thing more about it. There is no question now. I do not burn these very often. I have a bunch of newer ones to burn and use and take places where things might happen to them.

I would love to have it. I would also fire that bad boy up, no shelf queens in my collection! :)

I don't know, Kirk. Even if you could get it for the $500 starting price, that's 100 $5 lanterns that aren't ever going to see any love from you.

I like it, but I would not spend that kind of money for it. There are just too many other "practical" lanterns to choose from, show some love, and put to good use.

At that price I'm looking at another pistol or cowboy carbine, not lanterns. Mechanical wonders that also make fire, and go boom. :D

I just bought two new rifles, but I think that is some other forum. I like guns too. Guns and lanterns and well RC airplanes and Bass fishing and some other stuff. Oh yea and motorsickles, did I say Guns?

I know what you mean. I have gotten rid of most of my VWs ( turned them into Colemans plus a bit more, ok, a lot more ) I have started to let people know I am thinking of unloading some of my firearms.

I will always consider myself a Bass fisherman, but I sold my boat last year. You know what they say if it flys, floats or whatever, rent it dont buy it! 8)

Less than an hour to go and NO bids.
For 500 smackers you think it would have FREE shipping.
