Camping at Calif. Central Coast Music Festivals Summer 2014

Are you looking for beautiful and fun camping destinations in warm sunshine? Enjoy live music? Maybe sample craft beer too? Now is a good time to plan ahead for a fun adventure at one, or maybe two, California Central Coast camping & music festivals next summer (2014). They are camping festivals where a teardrop or a tiny trailer would be very welcome and useful.

The very enjoyable Live Oak Music Festival liveoakfest.org happens on Father's Day weekend June 13-15, 2014 near Santa Barbara. Festival tickets will become available early next year (2014).
The Live Oak Music Festival is held at Live Oak Camp, about twenty minutes west of Santa Barbara. Nestled in the river valley that feeds Cachuma Lake, the site is filled with old oaks that provide restful shade and pristine beauty.

The temperate climate, the shady oaks, the early summer setting, and the slow-moving pace create a pastoral backdrop for relaxing and listening to great music with family and friends. It's hard to imagine a better way to kick off the lazy days of summer.

The focus of the Live Oak Music Festival is, of course, the mainstage performances. With musicians from all over the United States and across the globe performing, this hub of the festival is the gathering place for everyone to hear and see some of the finest entertainers anywhere do what they do best: play music. Ranging from traditional, folk, bluegrass and gospel, to blues, jazz, classical and world music, and touching most genres in between, the mainstage provides cultural entertainment and education. The music on the mainstage is engineered by a top-notch crew, so the sound is second to none for an outdoor venue.

From the opening of the Live Oak Music Festival gates on Friday morning at 8:00 to the closing of the same at noon on Monday, the three-day event provides basic camping accommodations under the shade of old oak trees. Rounding out the camping fare, a variety of diverse food concessions are available.

I've attended (and volunteered at) the Live Oak Festival many times. It's often been the highlight of my summer.

The Seven Sisters Fest sevensistersfest happens a month later on July 11-13, 2014 in San Luis Obispo County midway between Morro Bay and the City of San Luis Obispo at El Chorro Regional Park on Highway One. This will be the second year for the festival.

There is beginning to be a little interest in attending the festivals. I updated information about them in the South West forum. They could be the highlight of a summer vacation to camp in California's warm sunny and beautiful Central Coast.
