Sounds great, mom. Looking forward to it!

Thank you Mary. I will try to remember to take pictures of the food. Sometimes I get caught up and forget! BTW, my mother’s pecan pie is the best ever! Many people have been converted and now know what truly good pecan pie should be!

Randy, red or green? It’s all good!

Sharon, it’s the heavenly part that we are after! I made the horseradish sauce and cranberry relish yesterday. Yum.

CapnT, thank you for the kind words. I’m glad you enjoyed the read. Welcome to the foamie side of things.

Merry Christmas to all!

I think she would be happy to, Mary. You just let us know when you plan to be here in New England and we will see what we can do. 8)

Well, I just had a long wander back thru my photo gallery looking to see if I had any pic's of pecan pie loaded up, alas no. But it was kind of one of those seeing the forest moments. What a long trip it has been to get to this point!

Is it pee~can pie or pa~con pie? Northerners usually say pee~can.

Here it’s pa(short a) cawn’ (like yawn) as in the locally popular phrase “ Gone pecan” (rhymes) .. (def. when someone or something is gone for good.).. As when someone asks if there is any pecan pie left .. you say it’s ...

Thank you, Bonnie for the kind sentiment, and to you and yours, as well.

GPW has it right. Pecan (puh-cawn). I am neither a long haul trucker (pee can), nor the redneck father of an inmate (pa con), nor a combination (pee con).

Would you believe that I forgot to take my camera to mom and Bill's dinner party? That's okay, tho, because I borrowed her camera and took plenty of food pics, including my adorable little second cousin, Isabel, eating peppermint stick ice cream. Everything was scrumptious and well received by all. Thanks mom! :applause:  :applause:

Now for the big day tomorrow! :? :D

Pies are nearly ready to come out of the oven, I've got the pics downloaded onto a flash drive (and in the camera) and we'll be along in an hour or so. Merry Christmas one and all!

Merry Christmas Randy, yea, Food porn and we don't even have to step on the scale, KC

Welcome Brad, to the crazy side of the forum. So you got thru this one, try the Thrifty Alternatives thread and see how it all got started. Actually we are not crazy, we are young at heart and bold and experimental. Our way of building isn't conventional but like I have said before someone built the first teardrop and it too was a first using the materials they used.

KC, Merry Christmas and looking for the Food porn..................
