CO = carbon monoxide, CO2 = carbon dioxide. One of these can kill you, the other not so much. Not trying to nitpick here, just pointing out the difference.mezmo wrote:Bob,
You're not going to run those stoves/furnaces/fireplaces Inside
the the HiH are you ? I thought we'd all 'decided' that may not be a good
idea earlier on in the thread - pg2 - CO2 and all. Can you extend a
stack through the roof or wall or such ? I'd be really leery of it [CO2].
Maybe you could scrounge up one of those vent-through-the-wall
[the REAL exterior wall] heaters or enclosed gas fireplaces.
We'd hate to see any harm come to you from such a set-up. I wouldn't trust
just exhausting them into the larger volume of the barn/storage-building/garage
you're building in.

Symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning can be confused with flu-like symptoms, such as headaches, dizziness and nausea. Police said the effects also can include sleepiness, vision problems, ringing in the ears, aching arms and legs, irregular breathing, fatigue and confusion.
ParTaxer wrote:These appliances are vent free and have no way of venting. They also have oxygen sensors that will shut the thing down to pilot. I know people that heat exclusively on these but I have also read that these same people can contract flu like symptoms from this environment.
