Newbie! Hello!

Postby BudStratford » Fri Dec 27, 2013 4:59 pm

Hello there! My name is Bud, and I'm new to the forum. Recently, I built a small micro-camper for my frequent snowboarding expeditions. Here's a couple of photos:

I'm very proud of my little camper! So proud that I've also started a blog to document my travels, adventures and misadventures with the camper. Feel free to check it out at:

I joined the forum, just because I wanted to meet fellow micro-campers, and maybe find an event or two to attend this year (I live in Phoenix, AZ).

Thanks...! -B.

Hello bud Stratford. That definitely looks like a snowboarders "man cave." I'm guessing you don't cook, only eat out. I'm a newbie to this forum also.

Welcome to both of you.
Hey Smokey Bear, we are neighbors (kinda). I am up in Mariposa.

Oh, I cook! Quite often! I have portable grills and stoves that run off the 1-lb. propane tanks. The grill/stove stows away neatly in the Yaris, and I set them on top of the camper when I'm cooking. The large, flat top works great for this.

You must be tall. Based on comparing to the Yaris, I wouldn't be able to see anything in a pot on a stove sitting on top that. Anyway, it works for you so what the hey.
