You ladies are doing great! :applause: Congrats.

Tis better to be thought a fool than open ones mouth and remove all doubt.

Chris,

Seems those two sayings go hand in hand, or is it foot in mouth?

Our lady teardrop builders are quite remarkable aren't they? But it truly seems that all teardrop builders are quite extraordinary people.

Hope you are having a nice day. I know I am :D

Looking good Julie. Looks like no problem for it to be done for a fall MO/KAN and probably alot sooner.

Hey Julie, You rock girlfriend! Look wa-a-a-a-ayyy back and you'll see me bringin' up the rear!

Had that first welding class last week. Instructor said that the 2 hours he spent on selecting rods and such is the only book learnin' we're gonna get. Guess I'd better get the electrician in to run me a 50 amp line for my welder.

Hey Mercy,
I checked out your website when you made your first post - I'm borrowing your sound system idea - gotta check for you're camping pic's now.

Toolie, when are we gonna start seeing some pics of your build? If you're bringing up the rear, I am probably pretty darned close to whatever stage you are at. I took some welding classes about a year or so ago myself, and it was a blast. Then I went out and got myself the Millermatic 175 mig welder, and I absolutely love it!!! BTW, I am a transplant from Virginia (mostly Fredericksburg area). I am heading back there over the July 4th weekend, and I am soooo looking forward to that humidity (insert large quantities of sarcasm here)!

I've been collecting parts but I haven't built a thing yet. Guess I could post some parts pictures though. I bought a Lincoln 225AC. I've got to get my sister the electrician over to tie in the 50 amp circuit. I'm chicken when it comes to messing around in the electrical panel.

I made some mighty embarrassing squiggles on that steel plate tonight  I'm starting that frame as soon as I get one decent line on that practice plate

Hey Amy, one of my sisters lives in the Fredricksburg area, beautiful up there. I live in Norfolk, home of the Navy. It's been dry and cool this spring but by July it's gonna be like living in a sauna! Are you planning on attending any of the Jamestown 2007 events? Lots of money being spent on a year long celebration.

Thanks Toolie, although that shop is feeling quite cramped these days! All the neighborhood guys are jealous of all the tools I have in there, which I've been collecting since college (I was a sculpture major). Alas, I am not single, I've been out of the dating scene for almost 12 years now, and can't say I miss it.

I know all about squiggles! ;) I spent quite a bit of time on scrap metal before committing to running beads on the actual frame. I should also admit that I am well-versed in the use of a grinder!

I am just about finished on the frame. I need to post some new photos showing the additional side rails that I put on and the tongue box frame. I am waiting on the stabilizer jacks and a couple of receiver hitches (which I'll be using for a removable bumper) to show up, so I can finish up the chassis. I'll be starting some of the woodwork in the meantime this weekend, putting together the decorative wood strips that will run along the sides.

Gotta catch up to Julie, Jeanette and Joanne (funny how all their names start with a "J" )!!!!
