:D :D

That particular day… it was only my wife and I… but a couple days ago there were 5 of us.. and there are others around. Temp wise it's really no different than xc skiing. The new Fat Bikes are made for riding in snow [or sand].

Back to topic right here it looks as if much of this storm is going out to sea below us. We are cold [below zero] and windy and it is snowing but maybe on 3" so far.

South of us is getting it pretty good I think.

Yep, it came. Snow. Not too bad, tho. I haven't been out yet to check (work cancelled), but I'd say it's about what they were predicting in the end; about 4 - 8 inches. Tough to say because it has blown around a bit.

Cold. The wife must have been in a rush to get out the door this AM (she works in a hospital, and they never "cancel"). When I came downstairs this AM the front door was wide open. :? :x Furnace was chugging away trying to maintain the daytime setback temp of 60. :x $>

Round two dumped 8+ inches round three to come with 6 to 10+ additional with up to 30 MPH winds. For those short on geology this area was planed flat by the last glaciation and it is as one friend flat as piddle on a platter so blowing and drifting... The highest spots around here are the over passes over I80, we call them hills 8)

Yup. After sitting under a blanket with a cuppa hot tea and both cats piled on me, the furnace got caught up to the regular setting (but the floors were still cold), and I got out there and ran the snow blower, shoveled some. 10 deg F (-12.2 C). Ice in my beard and cold toes.

Though the sun is shining and it's pretty to look at... from inside thru the window. No work-ee on camper-ee today-ee.

We only got about 4 " right here. Along the coast, they got around a Foot. We did warm up to 5 below today.. :D with wind of course.. and no sun.

We are still waiting for some warmer temps to get some of this ice off the trees, and such.

we were supposed to get the jackpot here on the north shore/seacoast NH, problem is it blew around so much I don't know what we got, and I think a bunch blew out to sea :( . I went X-C skiing thursday night, once I got going I could feel my fingers again and after I was in the car again my face thawed out. Even though it had snowed half a day by then there were only 3 or so inches on the ground. I was out after work so most of the skiing was done by headlamp (red LED's to highlight the snow) I met one other couple out who had started snow shoeing, but were just hiking instead as the snow was so powedery snowshoes were a waste. there is still a layer of white cement on everything after the rain ruined our last snow.
Friday morning I spent 5 or so hours (0530 to 1030) out on the ramp as most of the Oops workers called in due to the roads so I ended up loading the airplanes along with our pilots. (no such thing as bad weather in air freight)

Crazy thing going on right now, after 5 years of greatly declining air freight amounts at Christmas, our last two shipping days were so overloaded Oops gave up on shipping tons of it. that crazy wave of freight is still going on, thursday and friday were swamped and even this morning was nuts. About 80% of it is Amazon prime, at this point I can't imagine what Amazon has left, I think they shipped everything in the country to ME and VT.

And out here we sure would like to get some of that snow. ( keep the low temps please. ) Actually keep the snow in the mountains also for 2 reasons. We need the water to fill the reservoirs for irrigation next year to keep the ag based economy going. And the 2nd is to keep those annoying skiers quiet. News story on the local NPR station yesterday was all about how the sky areas have about 50% of normal snow and how they are losing money. Nothing about how the agriculture here needs that water for irrigation.
