We just reserved site 20 for Friday and Saturday!

Gary, we really appreciate your efforts in organizing this Leadership is good!

Your comments about our far-flung St. Croix chapter resonate with me. Seems like we Wisconsinites have more opportunities to see the Illinois folks (and horn in on their gatherings) than we do the Minnesota folks. I also wish we had more gatherings in Southern Wisconsin. We certainly have enough beautiful parks.

We are 14

Good to hear from you Pat. Hope things are going well for you and Mark. Also hope I can get you to run the food sign up as you have in the past. You do such a great job. :applause:

And to all of the rest of you stay warm tomorrow as we get these incredibly low temperatures.

Tom,
If you had not registered I would have been checking the local hospitals and insane asylums.

Hope you and Henry are getting the camper ready for another camping season. After all it was only -50 below (wind chill) in Jefferson County today. :snow

I'm looking for my muscle shirts and shorts today. Gotta be ready.

Of the traditional sites that we have used 2 are now occupied by unidentified campers.
The following sites are still available and all are great places near our group;
003
011
014
019
021
022
024
And in the second loop
086
087
103
105
Of course there are other sites but they get farther away from the group.

Pat,

You have said the right words! You would be familiar with some great parks in your area...Now pick a park, pick a weekend & go for it! Doesn't need to be anything fancy, organized or an annual event. Whether 2 teardrops or 20 show up, doesn't matter; it's all about people getting together, enjoying their campers & each other.

Based on the locations for our Wisconsin membership, the greater Madison area is fairly central to most, so you are in the right neighborhood. We took that into consideration when choosing a park for the 15th Tearjerker Birthday Bash. Started looking around & asking people for input on a site & ended up with White Mound County Park due to a recommendation from one of our members. Turned out to be a fabulous place & they were thrilled we would be coming there. It was a great weekend!

So, don't hesitate to take the plunge! And when you do, I'll add it to the list of camping events on the chapter calendar.

Pat from Wisconsin:

Anytime you want to camp and have company, please post your plans. My wife and I live in SE MN and would love to join the fun if our schedules permit.

I have been thinking about doing the same. We have a beautiful (ok...nice) State park which overlooks the Mississippi River Valley not far from our house.

Maybe you could hold a gathering for people just named "Pat". See how many you can get. There is a town near Galena called Elizabeth. A few years ago they tried to get as many
"Elizabeth's" as they could to come to town on the same day. They got hundreds from all over to show up. Could be a fun gathering!

It would be a rather lonely gathering if we only had those with the name of "Verna" there

I just noticed that I forgot to count myself in our total count. We are now 17 and if you look at last years thread we were 17 officially preregistered. We did have 2 or 3 surprise trailers that showed up for the event. Who ever signs up next makes us a new record for trailers preregistered. Outtahand (Kevon and Annette? Glenn and Opal ? DWE (Dennis and Cheryl)? Bkcreation34 (Brian)? Wanna Be (Lynn and Trooper)? cs_whypt2 (Dianne, Luke and many dogs)? gdpipkorn (Grant & Diane)? or someone else?

Who is it going to be?

Gary, as a newbie to the group, are there any plans for a group breakfest/supper. Do you want to plan on each couple bringing a snack or should I just bring my own popcorn? (Always willing to share). :wine: Group campfires......................... :applause:
