Hey, I got the Mercedes SLK answer too..... which is appropriate, as that's what I drive!

And before the (entirely accurate) "tart's car" descriptions start flowing in, I have the only SLK I've ever seen with the factory roof rail/rack system - I greatly enjoy taking down to the wood yard and bringing back sheets of plywood on the roof. I'm very proud that one of the old guys at the yard told me "That is the most inappropriate vehicle anyone has ever brought in here"!

Sadly no pics of plywood on the roof, but here is a (bad) shot of me about to deliver a dinghy mast - if you are sure the day will remain sunny, the roof rack can be fitted with the folding roof down - you need to be sure as the roof can't be put back up with the roof rack in place.

I would think this would be one of the all-time great small towcars - not that light, nice short rear overhang, firm suspension, buckets of low-down torque - but it's not approved by Mercedes for fitting a tow hitch, so it's illegal to do fit one here in Yurp, dangnabbit.

What would be depressing would be if one found out they were a Yugo.

You've got it all. Power, passion, precision, and style. You're sensuous, exotic, and temperamental. Sure, you're expensive and high-maintenance, but you're worth it.  8)

Dusenberg
Torpedo Coupe
I am that I am !

The ultra-luxury Duesenberg brand is set to return to the streets
in 2007, after a 70-year hiatus. The $300,000+ car will feature a
revolutionary 12-cylinder engine with extreme fuel economy and
performance.

The super-stylish king of American luxury automobiles is about to
be resurrected. Make it so Scottie !

Duesenberg Torpedo Coupe
Let this one be me !

Oh BTW Doug Hodder
Can you build me a Teardrop with some of your panache and design
skills please? Maybe I would need the Roswell to fully exploit the
Duesenberg design? What do you think?

Got some parts from Grant just before I left for vacation. I hope I can find some time to work on it soon. I bent some 1/4 luan over the hatch yesterday and when I looked at it today it had cracked. I didn't think it was a very tight radius. Any tips?

Put a couple layers of glass cloth on it and epoxy it.
