Welcome to the Form!
And yes you have come to the right place if you are new to the world of Teardrops.
There is so much to read here....especially in the electrical section.
This Forum goes way beyond "building"
And the people you are going to meet!
Enjoy your build.

Welcome, yes there is a lot of reading on the forum, a lot to learn and a lot to soak up. My standard advise is read, read, read, and when you think you're about there, read some more but of course keep notes and start your TD with a piece of paper at your side, write down the names of the styles you like, after a while your form, style and idea for your TD will begin to take shape even if it is on paper. Reading on the general discussion thread will probably let you find some of those questions already asked. about that time you will be able to decide which build you are going to make then a start of your own build thread. the actual work will begin. There are lots of experienced people here on the forum that are willing to help you. give time for the questions to be answered because some only get on once in a while. In no time at all you will be starting your build. Good luck and I will be watching for your build thread.

First timers, gotta get involved right away. So, get that trailer frame, decide on the size and shape, purchase the materials, start building, take pictures and post them, get it licensed and legal, check out where the next gathering is and attend........right away.
Other than that, there is nothing to it, all you gotta do is commit to the build, attend a gathering and I'll be happy to enjoy your first campgound dinner in your dutch oven, which will be shared with other TDers. (By the way, prime rib, would be nice) Others may not be as up-front, but I gotta encourage you to get involved, as soon as you can and come and join us..........right away.
8) :? Roly

Welcome to the group and the only dumb question is the one you don't ask. Having said that looking for an answer is not all that difficult.

Mchut,
Welcome aboard
We discovered all the info available when well into our build. We had seen some pictures , made a sketch on the back patio with chalk and off we went.
Reading this forum and other sources, effectively after the event, there are things we would have done differently. It was a lot of fun building the wee beastie.
Take it easy.
SD :)
Lets do a three sixty and get out of here !
