I think I am closer to the Yes answer. Knee is getting a little better each week. Today marks 7 weeks and I have cabin fever worse than ever. Kurt and I drove down to Starve Hollow a week or two ago and that helped. I may just saddle up the '47 Kit and head to Mounds.

Probably not....the weekend has provided other opportunities. :/. Of course the big question is snow and salt on the roads....

I will be watching the weather. Cannot be walking much on slick or snow covered ground so I may be a last minute decision !

I asked that same question a week ago but not to many takers so I made other plans. Hopefully next year. Have fun!

The Deepest spot in Lake Superior, the largest of the Great Lakes is 1,333 feet or about 222 fathoms. This profound depth could easily contain the entire 1,250' Empire State Building, even with a 50-foot-tall King Kong perched atop.

The winter gathering has always been a last minute decision based on the possibility of snowy roads and
hazardous driving conditions.

Several of us, in the past, have posted phone numbers for open lines of communication.

My cell will be in my pocket 765-538-2580

Between the TNTTT thread and some direct communication between several of us we will call the gathering if driving conditions looks to be the least bit threatening. We want everyone to be safe and to see them this spring so safety always comes first.

Weather permitting the barn and I will be there with bbq for lunch and chicken and dumplins for our toss together dinner.

weather.com says 0% snow Friday and Sat and only a 10% chance sunday.

Sat temps are forcasted to be 25 / 14 and 18 for a high Sunday.

Shows it will be windy so bring plenty of light rope or bungies

Just a reminder for those going,

the winter reduced camping rate was $11 dollars and change. It may have gone up slightly, but the ranger will stop by and collect and has difficulty making change so try and bring some singles and small change to make the collection process easier for him.

I also notified the park of our arrival........

"The Tearjerkers camping group will be having their winter camp outing Sat and Sun of this coming weekend. We are expecting 10 to 12 of our tiny trailers to attend. Your staff has always been gratious enough to clear pads as necessary for our arrival. Once again the center isle and near the vault toilet would be the area of choice.

Thanking you in advance Bob Henry

It's all kinda like a walmart parking lot so there is not much tree cover.

Here is where we landed a couple years ago

I can not remember if there is any water available so you might want to plan on a couple gallons from home or nearby.

Have a great time. Perhaps by next year The Patrol Box will be complete (enough) for winter camping.
