Thanks for the encouragements !
I do appreciate it :D

We have 10" of snow, and it was under 20 degrees this morning. So I tested the TD's insulation today by sticking a milkhouse heater inside.
After 15 minutes it was over 60 degrees inside the TD. A little while later, I had to turn the heater down cause it too warm.
While I was out there, I got all the plastic trim cut to size. All the exposed corners are covered in trim. I'll be gluing them down, and covering everything with canvas.

Hey Tac. I just started reading your build thread today. You are doing great. So far only to this post from long ago. I would say that is a motorcycle side car wheel. Kind of looks like a Stieb but probably more like a Url knock off.

Now back to the thread and see the other guesses. Randy

Hello Randy,
Welcome to the big Pink !
I hope you enjoy the thread :)
Good guess on the wheel ! You have probably read through to find out what it is by now.
I have recently added a Ural sidecar to the family. It also has a trailer hitch

Cool on the Ural, my kind of bike. I am an old Airhead. My oldest is a 1963 R50S. One of the few still alive.

What is a milkhouse heater? All the milking parlors around here have huge gas fired furnaces.

A milkhouse heater is a small 1500w electrical heater.

Thanks, I was just coming back from looking it up. I was hoping it was something that did not use 110

If you want a heater that does not use 110 take a look at these.

I love round windows! Can you go into a bit more detail on how you made and set those?

Thanks I will dig into that some more. The only question I have right now is did you cut the plexiglass into a circle yourself and with what tools?

rather than all that fuss and bother, make your round windows the easiest and cheapest way, the way that is waterproof enough for globe circling sailboats to never have shipped a drop, and the way anybody on any budget can make.
The Wiley window viewtopic.php?f=21&t=57192 you end up with round, or any shape or size you could think off.

Originally it had a 1/8 " piece of Plexiglas, but that broke while test fitting it after I added the plastic corner molding.
So then I used 1/4 " Plexiglas ( might have been Lexan) and cut it using a jigsaw. I used the existing hole in the door as a template.
It's glued in place with the same 3M 5200 I used for the other windows.
If you look in the original build thread, you'll see Mike used a router and a circle cutting guide to cut the foam and also made a larger circle on the inside.
That left a place for the Plexiglas to be recessed into. You can see that here on Mikes thread... (I don't know how to post somebody elses pictures)
viewtopic.php?f=55&t=44091&start=525

Page 2 of my thread (Big Pink) has some pictures of when I skinned the door.

Page 10 shows the Plexiglas difference, but it's kinda hard to see.

I like the Wiley windows, but didn't see a need to have a functional window on the door, since I have other windows.
