That would sour anybody's loyalty for sure! I have heard the same from local JD converts but until my Cub wears out (50 years since its last rebuild) Ill never know..lol

One of the real Cub tractors? Those were sweeties. I would not mind one to ride about with. But my 1080 massy is lot better for scraping snow. Even if it is not front power assist.

Its a bit light (and im a bit lazy when it comes to strapping on the weights) but it keeps the driveway clear as long as I dont try to move too much at once

Do you have the blade that mounts under the tractor?

Nope got a front blade, disc harrow, mower deck and a BFC for pulling stumps and dragging logs.. And of course the aforementioned weights that never seem to get mounted :)

After the Allis pulls it out of the ground purty much any size...lol :R

But seriously, small stuff and bushes for the Cub. Pretty good for a 10HP 4 cylinder..

Those would be a sweet tractor. I have only heard one of those running and that flat head 4 sounds so nice. But not many Cubs out here as there was so few, if any, vegetable type farms that they seemed to have been their biggest use. There are a few A's and H and M's galore.

They are pretty common here since most of the older farms were small back when you could make a living that way. Now its all JD's that the Cub could park under..LOL

Wasssuuupp!!

Not a hole lot so past few days been doing a bit of sorting, cataloging, playing with my Colemans. I found I have 7 413s. In my defense #7 was a gift from NRody. One 413F is the rustiest, crustiest, bent up one of the bunch. The inside of the tank is spotless and I have to say that over all it might be the best burner of the bunch. Go figure. Now, do I dare clean it up and ruin the delicate balance?

Come up with a theme and paint it up for the next stove contest!

Maybe paint it like a spud. You know, brown... eye(s).

At least the shape it is in now i do not fear hauling it around with out great care. Not like the 413G that is almost new. That one burns pretty good but it doesn't simmer as well as the crusty one and it has more rust in the tank than the crusty one. Though I am finding that the 413s do not simmer as well as many other stoves. In my experience. Objective observations.

I know what you mean Randy. One of my 425's is beat up and really greased up cruddy and rusty. But boy does she light good and run good. I thought about swapping it out to a better case and didn't want to upset the balance either.
